Ben je graag praktisch bezig en wil je een afgewerkt voertuig zien vertrekken waar je zelf aan hebt meegebouwd? In deze functie werk je mee aan de volledige opbouw van brandweer- en hulpverleningsvoertuigen. Je combineert metaalbewerking, montage en technische installaties en krijgt de ruimte om je ervaring in te zetten en je kennis verder uit te breiden.

Wat ga je doen?

  • Je monteert en richt brandweer- en hulpverleningsvoertuigen in, van voorbereidende werken tot de verdere opbouw.
  • Je monteert brandweerpompen, elektrische componenten en andere technische installaties.
  • Je bewerkt en monteert onderdelen door te snijden, plooien, boren, verlijmen, riveteren en schroeven.
  • Je werkt volgens technische plannen, werkopdrachten en de afspraken van de werkplaatsleider.
  • Je werkt samen met collega's aan een veilige en kwalitatieve afwerking van elk voertuig.

Waar ga je werken? Je komt terecht in een gespecialiseerde werkplaats in Oostende die al meer dan 40 jaar actief is in de wereld van brandweer- en hulpverleningsvoertuigen. Met een team van ongeveer 25 medewerkers worden voertuigen opgebouwd en afgewerkt met veel aandacht voor techniek, kwaliteit en veiligheid. Het is geen grote onderneming waar je een nummer bent. De structuur is eerder vlak en je eigen ervaring en ideeën worden gewaardeerd. Iedereen heeft zijn eigen verantwoordelijkheid, maar collega's helpen elkaar wanneer dat nodig is. Je werkt mee aan voertuigen die stap voor stap worden opgebouwd. Afhankelijk van je ervaring neem je een groter deel van de montage voor je rekening. Zo kan je als ervaren technieker zelfstandig een belangrijk onderdeel van het project opnemen, terwijl je voor specifieke zaken samenwerkt met collega's.

  • Je hebt ervaring met metaal- of plaatbewerking en wil je technische kennis verder inzetten.
  • Je kan technische plannen en schema's lezen en begrijpt hoe verschillende onderdelen samenkomen.
  • Je bent handig, werkt nauwkeurig en hebt aandacht voor veiligheid.
  • Je kan zelfstandig werken, neemt verantwoordelijkheid en denkt mee wanneer er iets moet worden aangepast.
  • Je werkt graag samen met collega's en staat open om verschillende aspecten van het montagewerk te leren.
