About us: Silicon Austria Labs (SAL) is a top research center for Electronics and Software Based Systems (ESBS). At three locations (Graz, Villach, Linz), SAL is conducting research along the entire ESBS value chain in the areas of sensor systems, power electronics, intelligent wireless systems, microsystems and embedded systems to develop future-oriented solutions for industrial production, health, energy, mobility, safety and more. SAL brings together key players from industry, science and research and thus valuable expertise and know-how and conducts cooperative, application-oriented research along the value chain. We are looking for a motivated and practical PCB Des... 1 Internships - designing interface boards for industrial MCUs (all genders) Your future tasks include: * Design electronic schematics and PCB layouts. * Create multi-layer PCB designs that adhere to good engineering practices. * Support component selection and footprint creation. * Prepare manufacturing documentation and design files. * Assemble, solder, and debug PCB prototypes. * Perform electrical testing, verification, and troubleshooting. * Document designs, test procedures, and results.

Your profile: * Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Embedded Systems, or a related field. * Experience with PCB design software such as: ** *** KiCad *** Altium Designer *** or equivalent EDA tools. * Practical experience designing and creating PCBs, either through academic projects, personal projects, internships, or professional work. * Unnderstanding of schematic design principles and PCB layout fundamentals. * Hands-on experience with PCB assembly, soldering, and debugging.

Nice-to-have skills:

* Experience programming industrial microcontrollers or embedded systems. * Familiarity with C/C++ for embedded development. * Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git).
