Je komt te werken in een gezellig team, met goede begeleiding waar leren en plezier hand in hand gaan. Zorgdragen voor het continue verpleegproces van onze geriatrische patiënten is jouw verantwoordelijkheid. Dit doe je samen met (geriatrie)verpleegkundigen, geriaters en arts-assistenten voor het gehele proces van opname en verzorging tot verpleging en ontslag van onze patiënten. De gemiddelde opnameduur van dit proces is 10 dagen. Hierbij is er vaak sprake van co-morbiditeit waardoor onze kwetsbare ouderen zorgafhankelijk zijn. In veel gevallen bouw je in korte tijd een persoonlijke vertrouwensband met hen op. Als junior verpleegkundige geriatrie ga je elke uitdaging aan, zoals: - bevorderen van de gezondheid en zelfredzaamheid van de geriatrische patiënt zonder daarbij de kwaliteit van leven uit het oog te verliezen. Klinisch redeneren en kwalitatief hoogwaardige zorg leveren is hierbij vanzelfsprekend. - verlenen van psychosociale zorg, begeleiding en voorlichting. De behandeling valt de patiënt bijvoorbeeld tegen of ze hadden andere verwachtingen. Of er ontstaat een complicatie en de patiënt zit er mentaal volledig doorheen. - coachen van nieuwe medewerkers en studenten. Door de herinrichting van ons beddenhuis kom je op termijn steeds meer in aanraking met neurologische pati...
