Jij brengt die verschillende perspectieven samen tot één juridisch duidelijke route. Handhaving is zelden het werk van één persoon. Als jurist handhaving schakel je voortdurend met collega's die ieder vanuit hun eigen vak naar dezelfde situatie kijken. Jij zorgt dat feiten, regels en praktische mogelijkheden uiteindelijk samenkomen in een houdbaar besluit. Via koen werk je op detacheringsbasis bij verschillende gemeenten. Je sluit aan bij teams rond vergunningverlening, toezicht, veiligheid en de fysieke leefomgeving. Afhankelijk van het dossier werk je ook samen met externe partners, waardoor je juridische expertise onderdeel wordt van een bredere aanpak. Werken bij de gemeente betekent bijvoorbeeld overleggen over strijdig gebruik, illegale bouw of een terugkerende overtreding. Je bespreekt controlerapporten, beoordeelt welke aanvullende informatie nodig is en adviseert over vervolgstappen. Vervolgens stel je het juridische besluit op en zorg je dat collega's begrijpen waarom voor deze route wordt gekozen. Bij bezwaar of beroep verzamel je opnieuw de juiste inhoudelijke expertise rond het dossier. De kwaliteit van handhaving zit daardoor niet alleen in jouw juridische tekst. Ze zit ook in het verbinden van mensen die samen tot een zorgvuldig besluit moeten komen.
