Dat kan binnen kindergeneeskunde Noordwest. Als kinderverpleegkundige in opleiding leer je, via EPA gestuurd onderwijs, multidisciplinaire zorg te geven aan deze kwetsbare jonge patiëntencategorie op beide locaties. Kom verder en start bij ons als Kinderverpleegkundige in opleiding (PIO) Werken als kinderverpleegkundige in opleiding (PIO) Betekent dat je je dag begint met de zorg voor de jongste patiëntencategorie. Op de kinderafdelingen van Noordwest liggen alle leeftijden (van 0 tot 18 jaar) en disciplines door elkaar. Elk kind heeft een ander ziektebeeld en dus ook andere zorg nodig. Je houdt je patiënten goed in de gaten en bent de ogen en oren van de dokters, zodat je hen goed kunt informeren. Behalve het geven van de juiste zorg leer je ook een meester te worden in het afleiden en geruststellen van kinderen en het geven van uitleg aan hun ouders. Als team werken we goed samen, maar als kinderverpleegkundige in opleiding leer je ook goed zelfstandig te werken. Het gezin is belangrijk en daarom zet je het gezin centraal en in zijn kracht, zodat zij uiteindelijk met vertrouwen naar huis gaan. De opleiding tot kinderverpleegkundige Afhankelijk van de eerder genoten vooropleiding, duurt de opleiding gemiddeld 13-16 maanden. De praktische scholing vindt plaats op de afdeling kindergeneeskunde zowel in Alkmaar als Den Helder, het theoretische deel van de opleiding (EPA-onderwijs) wordt gevolgd aan de Amstel Academie in Amsterdam.
