NBA publiceert Stappenplan implementatie NVKM voor kleine accountantskantoren Vanaf 1 januari 2027 gelden de Nadere Voorschriften Kwaliteitsmanagement (NVKM) ook voor accountantskantoren zonder reguliere vergunning. Om kantoren te helpen bij de implementatie van de NVKM en de daaraan gerelateerde Standaarden voor Kwaliteitsmanagement heeft de NBA het Stappenplan implementatie NVKM voor kleine accountantskantoren opgesteld. De publicatie is vooral gericht op kleine accountantskantoren (met maximaal 5 accountants) die geen wettelijke controles uitvoeren en geen deel uitmaken van een netwerk. Implementatie NVKM De implementatie van de NVKM vergt een nieuwe denk- en werkwijze. Waar voorheen de nadruk lag op compliance-gericht kwaliteitsbeleid (handboeken en procedures), staat nu een doorlopend proces centraal waarin kantoren kwaliteitsdoelstellingen vaststellen, kwaliteitsrisico's identificeren en mitigerende maatregelen ontwerpen, monitoren en bijstellen. Geen one-size-fits-all maar een systeem waarbij het kantoor op basis van specifieke eigenschappen, klanten en opdrachten zelf bepaalt waar de kwaliteitsrisico's liggen en welke mitigerende maatregelen nodig zijn. Geen verlicht regime, maar schaalbaar De NVKM kent geen verlicht regime zoals bij de NVKS, maar is wel schaalbaar. Met de schaalbaarheid kunnen kantoren de regelgeving afstemmen op de eigen praktijk. Zo kan voor een kleiner kantoor blijken dat bepaalde kwaliteitsdoelstellingen niet relevant zijn, gelet op de aard en omstandigheden van het kantoor en de opdrachten. In dat geval hoeven de daarbij behorende vereisten niet te worden toegepast.
