Tijdens jouw stage bij ons ga je dat ontdekken. Je loopt mee met ervaren loodsmedewerkers. Van deze collega's ga je het vak in de praktijk leren en word je zowel ingezet op het laden als op het lossen van containers. Het is belangrijk dat je minimaal 18 jaar bent en al over een heftruckcertificaat beschikt. Een ADR-vakbekwaam certificaat hebben, is een voordeel. Als je dit nog niet hebt, is dat niet erg. Kennis van de veiligheidsvoorschriften in en om de loods en je daar te allen tijde aan houden is heel belangrijk. Veiligheid staat namelijk voorop. Als loodsmedewerker heb je een belangrijke rol in het logistieke proces. Als jij je werk niet goed doet, kan dat schade betekenen of de goederen komen aan in New York terwijl ze voor Sydney bestemd waren. Goed je aandacht bij je werk houden, is dus heel belangrijk. Er wordt gewerkt vanaf 07:00 uur tot 16:00 uur met in totaal een uur pauze. We werken niet in ploegendiensten dus voor jou geen nachtelijke werktijden en je weekenden zijn ook vrij. De loods is niet zo goed met openbaar vervoer bereikbaar. Eigen vervoer is dus wel handig (we hebben een eigen parkeerterrein). Met de fiets vanuit Hoogvliet, Spijkenisse of Rozenburg is het prima te doen.
