In de regio van Kortrijk kom je terecht bij een internationale speler actief binnen een hoogtechnologische productieomgeving. Dankzij een sterke focus op engineering, productontwikkeling en productie blijft het bedrijf investeren in de verdere uitbreiding van zijn technologieën en oplossingen.

Als Mechanical R&D Engineer vorm je een belangrijke schakel binnen het ontwikkelingsproces van nieuwe producten. Je vertaalt technische ideeën naar concrete mechanische ontwerpen en houdt daarbij rekening met prestaties, kostprijs en maakbaarheid. Samen met collega's uit R&D, productie, aankoop en kwaliteit werk je aan producten die vlot de stap zetten van concept naar serieproductie.

Wat houdt de job in?

  • Je vertaalt technische ideeën naar slimme, produceerbare oplossingen en neemt een actieve rol op in de ontwikkeling van nieuwe mechanische componenten
  • Het ontwerpen van kunststof- en metaalonderdelen, zoals behuizingen, koellichamen en montagebeugels, vormt een belangrijk onderdeel van jouw dagelijkse werkzaamheden
  • Door middel van tolerantieberekeningen en mechanische analyses zorg je ervoor dat ontwerpen voldoen aan de vooropgestelde kwaliteits-, prestatie- en kostendoelstellingen
  • Samen met collega's uit R&D, productie, aankoop en kwaliteit werk je aan producten die technisch sterk onderbouwd zijn en vlot kunnen worden geïndustrialiseerd
  • Vanuit jouw technische expertise stem je af met externe leveranciers en partners en draag je bij aan een succesvolle introductie van nieuwe producten in productieprocessen
  • Je beschikt over een Masterdiploma in industrieel ontwerp, werktuigkunde of een aanverwante technische richting
  • Enkele jaren ervaring binnen mechanisch ontwerp en productontwikkeling vormen een sterke basis om snel impact te maken binnen deze functie
  • Dankzij jouw vlotte communicatiestijl in het Nederlands en Engels werk je efficiënt samen met verschillende interne en externe stakeholders en behoud je het overzicht over meerdere projecten tegelijk
