Deze organisatie is een ziekenhuis met een technische dienst die verantwoordelijk is voor het beheer en onderhoud van niet-medische apparatuur en gebouwgebonden installaties. De technische afdeling draagt zorg voor het onderhoud, de coördinatie van uitbestede werkzaamheden en de registratie van reparaties en onderhoudswerkzaamheden. De werkzaamheden vinden voornamelijk plaats in Geleen en incidenteel op locaties in de nabijgelegen regio zoals Heerlen zodat samenwerking tussen afdelingen mogelijk blijft. De organisatie werkt met een bereikbaarheidssysteem en consignatiediensten voor storingen buiten reguliere werktijden zodat continuïteit van gebouwen en installaties gewaarborgd blijft. De technische professionals binnen deze organisatie voeren zowel storingswerkzaamheden als gepland preventief onderhoud uit en informeren gebruikers over tijdelijke gebruikswijzen bij storingen. De afdeling onderhoudt technische documentatie, beheert voorraden en draagt bij aan beleidsontwikkeling en projecten rondom vervanging en onderhoud van installaties.
