Bij Energiebedrijf Groningen (EBG) krijg je de ruimte om direct bij te dragen en de organisatie verder te professionaliseren. Bedrijfsprofiel Energiebedrijf Groningen (EBG) is het duurzame publieke energiebedrijf van en voor de gemeente Groningen. EBG is 100% eigendom van de gemeente Groningen en werkt aan een toekomstbestendige, duurzame energievoorziening voor Groningen en de regio. EBG ontwikkelt, produceert, en levert duurzame energie aan grootverbruikers in de stad en regio. De organisatie richt zich onder andere op zonne-energie, batterijopslag (BESS), laadhubs en 110kV-klantaansluitingen. Met concrete projecten wordt gebouwd aan een energiesysteem waarin duurzame energie steeds meer de basis vormt. EBG heeft een duidelijke ambitie: bijdragen aan een CO₂-neutraal Groningen in 2035. Als jonge organisatie is EBG volop in ontwikkeling. Er wordt niet alleen gewerkt aan grote en innovatieve energieprojecten, maar ook aan de verdere opbouw van de organisatie, processen en financiële functie. Dat maakt dit een interessante fase om in te stappen: er staat al veel, maar er is ook nog volop ruimte om mee te bouwen, te verbeteren en richting te geven. Een van de eerste grote projecten is Energielandschap Lageland. Hier wordt ten oosten van Groningen en Meerstad gewerkt aan een natuurinclusief zonnepark van 220 MWp in combinatie met een batterijopslag van 50 MWh.
