Je werkt aan prototypes, standaardisatie, BOM's en technische optimalisaties en houdt daarbij rekening met maakbaarheid, betrouwbaarheid en kostprijs. Een sterke rol voor een werktuigbouwkundige die techniek graag structureel beter maakt. Wat ga je doen? Als Product Engineer Machinebouw Alkmaar werk je aan de ontwikkeling en doorontwikkeling van industriële machines en productvarianten. Je vertaalt functionele, procesmatige en commerciële eisen naar robuuste oplossingen die niet alleen technisch goed werken, maar ook maakbaar, onderhoudbaar en kostenefficiënt zijn. Je werkt aan producten die onderdeel zijn van complete procesinstallaties. Daarbij kijk je verder dan alleen het 3D-model. Je houdt rekening met sterkte, materialen, toleranties, lasverbindingen, reinigbaarheid, bedrijfszekerheid en de manier waarop een machine uiteindelijk geproduceerd en gemonteerd wordt. Een belangrijk deel van jouw werk draait om het slimmer en beter maken van bestaande producten. Je onderzoekt of een klantvraag binnen de huidige productstandaarden past, bepaalt welke technische aanpassingen nodig zijn en begeleidt prototypes, 0-series en eerste toepassingen. De feedback uit productie en montage gebruik je vervolgens om ontwerpen, productdata en standaarden verder te verbeteren. Je werkt nauw samen met Design Engineering, Project Engineering, Sales Engineering, productie en inkoop. Wanneer productontwikkeling ontstaat vanuit een klantproject, zorg jij ervoor dat de nieuwe oplossing technisch past binnen zowel het project als de bredere productlijn.
