The posting

Is het jouw passie ervoor te zorgen dat complexe, hightechproducten feilloos functioneren in de meest veeleisende omgevingen?

Als Product Validation Engineer maak je deel uit van het NPI-productontwikkelingsteam en draag je bij aan de ontwikkeling van Avionics, Defense & Security en Air Traffic Control sytemen. Tijdens de ontwerp- en kwalificatiefase beoordeel je of de producten voldoen aan de vereisten, normen en voorschriften. De juiste, betrouwbare en veilige werking is cruciaal voor de markt waarin de producten worden gebruikt.

Jouw verantwoordelijkheden:

  • Je vertaalt producteisen naar testaanpak en testeisen.
  • Je maakt en werkt mee aan het meest optimale testplan om product compliancy en betrouwbaarheid te valideren tijdens ontwikkeling en product kwalificatie.
  • Je maakt testprocedures en testopstellingen met speciale tooling indien nodig.
  • Je voert testen uit in voornamelijk interne testinfrastructuur. Voor een deel van de tests die niet intern kunnen worden uitgevoerd, ondersteun je de tests in een aantal geprefereerde externe internationale testhuizen. Er wordt een verscheidenheid aan testen uitgevoerd: temperatuur, trillingen, vochtigheid, EMI, vermogen, ...
  • Ten slotte stel je de testrapporten op volgens de interne kwaliteitsnormen en de verwachtingen van de klant.
  • Je ondersteunt het ontwikkelingsteam bij de ontwikkeling om te voldoen aan de productvereisten en bij het analyseren en oplossen van problemen in geval van productstoringen of non-conformiteit.
  • Je streeft naar voortdurende verbetering van de verificatieactiviteiten en levert input aan het ontwikkelingsteam.
  • Je plant en coördineert testactiviteiten in lijn met de productontwikkelingsplannen.
  • Je bent bereid te reizen naar de internationale testhuizen.
  • Je behaalde een Bachelor of Master in de Industriële Wetenschappen Elektronica-ICT.
  • Je hebt een sterke affiniteit met productkwaliteit en conformiteit.
  • Je vindt het leuk om te werken en samen te werken in een internationaal multidisciplinair team.
  • Je bent toegewijd om bij te dragen aan de ontwikkeling van high-end technologische producten voor kritische markten.
  • Je bent een hands-on problemsolver.
  • Je hebt goede communicatieve vaardigheden en spreekt vloeiend Engels.
  • Kennis van standaarden op het gebied van milieu, EMI en/of elektrisch vermogen (RTCA-DO-160, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810) is een mooie troef maar geen must.
