Als Project Engineer Automation neem je de lead in uitdagende utility-automatisatieprojecten binnen industriële productieomgevingen. De focus ligt op performante, betrouwbare en schaalbare automatisatieoplossingen die bijdragen aan continuïteit, procesoptimalisatie en toekomstgerichte productie.

Binnen deze rol komen conceptontwikkeling, engineering, leveranciersopvolging, testing en oplevering samen. Vanuit technische expertise in PLC-, HMI- en SCADA-systemen wordt gebouwd aan oplossingen die niet alleen correct functioneren, maar ook duurzaam inzetbaar zijn binnen de bredere industriële context.

Wat ga je doen?

Projectengineering en automatisatieconcepten

Binnen deze rol ligt de focus op het aansturen van automatisatieprojecten vanaf de eerste analyse tot en met de uiteindelijke implementatie. Functionele noden worden vertaald naar duidelijke technische specificaties, werkbare standaarden en automatisatieconcepten die aansluiten bij de verwachtingen van de klant en de operationele realiteit op de productievloer.

De functie omvat het uitwerken en opvolgen van oplossingen rond PLC-, HMI- en SCADA-systemen, met een sterke focus op Siemens S7, WinCC en TIA Portal. Daarbij wordt niet alleen gekeken naar de technische uitwerking, maar ook naar betrouwbaarheid, onderhoudbaarheid en schaalbaarheid van de gekozen oplossing.

Tijdens het projectverloop wordt nauw samengewerkt met interne teams, externe partners en leveranciers. Leveranciersselectie, technische afstemming en het bewaken van gemaakte afspraken vormen een belangrijk onderdeel van de rol, zodat elk project gestructureerd en volgens de afgesproken scope vooruitgaat.

Testing, commissioning en technische opvolging

Naast de conceptuele en engineeringmatige kant omvat de functie ook een sterke verantwoordelijkheid in testing en oplevering. Leverancierstesten worden opgevolgd en beoordeeld, terwijl code- en designreviews helpen om kwaliteit, robuustheid en technische consistentie te garanderen.

Ook elektrische aspecten maken deel uit van de projectopvolging. Er wordt input gegeven bij ontwerp, afnames en commissioning, met aandacht voor onder meer EPLAN, AREI, EN60204 en de correcte integratie van automatisatie binnen de bredere elektrische infrastructuur.

Wanneer installaties richting opstart gaan, wordt ondersteuning geboden bij troubleshooting, software-aanpassingen en technische finetuning. In kritieke fases vraagt dat om een hands-on aanpak, waarbij snel schakelen, duidelijke communicatie en technische precisie essentieel zijn om de installatie vlot en betrouwbaar in gebruik te nemen.

  • Je hebt een diploma industrieel ingenieur in automatisatie, elektromechanica of een verwante richting, of je beschikt over een gelijkwaardig niveau door relevante ervaring.
  • Je hebt minstens drie jaar ervaring binnen een industriële productieomgeving, bij voorkeur in automatisatieprojecten met een duidelijke link naar utilities, productie-installaties of procesautomatisering.
  • Je hebt grondige kennis van automatisatie, elektrisch ontwerp en industriële netwerken zoals Profibus, Profinet en OPC. Ervaring met Siemens S7, WinCC en TIA Portal vormt een sterke basis voor deze rol.
  • Je communiceert vlot in het Nederlands en Engels en weet technische informatie helder af te stemmen met collega's, leveranciers en andere stakeholders.
  • Je werkt nauwkeurig en gestructureerd, neemt verantwoordelijkheid en houdt ervan om projecten correct af te werken. Een pragmatische houding, probleemoplossend vermogen en drive om resultaat te boeken typeren jouw aanpak.
  • Je hebt ervaring met GMP of gereguleerde omgevingen, of je bent gemotiveerd om je hierin verder te verdiepen.
