Ben jij iemand die energie krijgt van afwisseling, internationale projecten en hands-on productontwikkeling? In deze rol als R&D Project Engineer sta je midden in de actie: van onze eigen keuken en pilotplant tot fabriekstesten in het buitenland. Je werkt mee aan grote klantprojecten, schakelt vlot tussen engineering, marketing en andere afdelingen. Daarnaast weet je mensen te overtuigen van jouw productvisie. Geen dag is hetzelfde en dat is precies wat deze functie zo boeiend maakt.

Als R&D Project Engineer heb je de volgende verantwoordelijkheden:

  • Leiden van R&D-projecten en bewaken van de voortgang van conceptfase tot succesvolle implementatie zowel lokaal als internationaal.
  • Analyseren van testresultaten en vertalen van inzichten naar innovatieve product- en procesverbeteringen.
  • Samenwerken met verschillende afdelingen om nieuwe producten succesvol te ontwikkelen en op te schalen.
  • Regelmatig naar het buitenland (Benelux, Egypte, Polen, Saudi-Arabië, Australië en China) reizen om daar zelfstandig projecten te trekken.

De R&D Project Engineer moet al zelfstandig bepaalde projecten trekken, maar kan nog steunen op meer ervaren collega’s. Je reist ongeveer om de zes weken naar het buitenland – meer in drukke periodes – en stemt daar af met lokale stakeholders. Zij rekenen op jouw expertise en samenwerking.

Een goede R&D Project Engineer herkent zich in de volgende zaken:

  • Relevant bachelor- of masterdiploma zoals voedingsmiddelentechnologie, bio-ingenieur of industriële wetenschappen
  • Meerdere jaren ervaring in een productieomgeving of gelijkaardig
  • Analytisch denkvermogen: begrijpen waarom iets niet werkt en vertalen naar de juiste oplossing
  • Kunnen omgaan met wisselende werkdruk en projectpieken
  • Je bent communicatief en kan je vlot aanpassen aan de verschillende stakeholders in een productieomgeving
