Voor een gevestigde en sterke producent binnen de voedingsindustrie in regio Ieper, ben ik op zoek naar een Senior Product Development Specialist die wetenschappelijke expertise, receptuurontwikkeling en procesoptimalisatie wil combineren. Deze familiale onderneming heeft doorheen de jaren een internationale reputatie opgebouwd binnen haar nichemarkt en blijft volop investeren in innovatie, kwaliteit en duurzame groei. In deze functie krijg je de kans om innovatieve productontwikkelingsprojecten van idee tot succesvolle marktintroductie te begeleiden en tegelijkertijd een sleutelrol te spelen in het optimaliseren van recepturen en productieprocessen. Je werkt nauw samen met Operations, Quality en Sales en krijgt veel ruimte om vernieuwende concepten te realiseren.

Hoe zal jouw takenpakket eruit zien?

  • Je bent de drijvende kracht achter het leiden van complexe productontwikkelingsprojecten van conceptfase tot volledige commercialisatie.
  • Je ontwikkelt en optimaliseert recepturen en productieprocessen om de beste smaak, textuur en technische haalbaarheid te garanderen.
  • Je organiseert en begeleidt labo-, pilot- en fabriekstesten op de productielijnen.
  • Je valideert nieuwe ingrediënten, processen en productspecificaties met oog op schaalbaarheid en kostenefficiëntie.
  • Je biedt technische ondersteuning bij commerciële productlanceringen en stelt de nodige technische documentatie op.
  • Je identificeert technische risico's binnen projecten en ontwikkelt pragmatische oplossingen om deze succesvol af te ronden.
  • Je werkt nauw samen met interdisciplinaire teams (Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Marketing, Sales) en externe partners.
  • Je coacht en begeleidt junior collega-wetenschappers en draagt actief bij aan de verdere professionalisering van het R&D-team.

Wat verwachten wij van jou?

  • Bachelor of Master in Bio-ingenieurswetenschappen, Voedingstechnologie, Food Science of gelijkwaardig door ervaring.
  • Minstens 3 jaar relevante ervaring in R&D of productontwikkeling binnen de voedingsindustrie.
  • Grondige kennis van receptuurontwikkeling, ingrediënten functionaliteit, procestechnologie en industriële opschaling.
  • Bereidheid tot occasionele internationale verplaatsingen in functie van projecten.
