Als Shiftleader Batch & Furnace combineer je technische expertise met coachend leiderschap. Je stuurt een team van Batch & Furnace Operatoren aan en zorgt er samen met hen voor dat de meng- en smeltprocessen veilig, efficiënt en kwalitatief verlopen. Je bent zichtbaar aanwezig op de werkvloer, bewaakt de processen en grijpt in wanneer dat nodig is

Je taken bestaan onder andere uit:

  • Coachen, aansturen en motiveren van de Batch & Furnace Operatoren tijdens jouw shift
  • Actief meewerken aan een veilige, efficiënte en kwalitatieve werking van de meng- en smeltprocessen
  • Opvolgen van ovencondities zoals temperaturen, lucht- en brandstofverhoudingen, glasniveaus en interne druk
  • Tijdig bijsturen van het proces wanneer afwijkingen worden vastgesteld
  • Oplossen van technische en procesmatige storingen en uitvoeren van root cause analyses waar nodig
  • Uitvoeren en opvolgen van procescontroles, meteropnames, batch- en smeltparameters en glasanalyses
  • Bewaken van de kwaliteit van glas en grondstoffen in samenwerking met de kwaliteitsdienst
  • Registreren en analyseren van productiegegevens, storingen en kwaliteitsafwijkingen om trends tijdig te detecteren
  • Controleren van onder andere mengvochtigheid, kleurparameters, lichttransmissie en andere relevante kwaliteitswaarden
  • Nemen van corrigerende maatregelen wanneer processen of kwaliteitswaarden afwijken
  • Toezien op de naleving van veiligheids-, kwaliteits- en hygiënenormen
  • Stimuleren van een cultuur waarin veiligheid en continue verbetering centraal staan
  • Initiëren en ondersteunen van verbeteringen op het gebied van processtabiliteit, veiligheid, duurzaamheid en energie-efficiëntie
  • Begeleiden, opleiden en ondersteunen van nieuwe en bestaande operatoren
  • Zorgen voor een goede kennisoverdracht binnen het team
  • Voeren van evaluatie-, feedback- en welzijnsgesprekken en signaleren van opleidingsbehoeften
  • Ondersteunen van medewerkers in hun verdere ontwikkeling en groei
  • Afstemmen met andere afdelingen zoals Productie, Maintenance, Planning, Kwaliteit en Engineering
  • Input geven voor ploegenschema's, verlofplanning en een optimale personeelsbezetting
  • Je beschikt over een technisch diploma secundair onderwijs
  • Je hebt minstens 3 tot 5 jaar relevante ervaring binnen een procesgestuurde industriële omgeving, bijvoorbeeld in de glas-, staal-, chemie- of energiesector
  • Ervaring in een leidinggevende functie is een pluspunt, maar ook wanneer je klaar bent om een eerste stap naar leidinggeven te zetten, kom je in aanmerking
  • Kennis van productieprocessen, ovensystemen, batchmengprocessen en energiebeheer vormt een sterke troef
  • Je beschikt over technisch inzicht en kunt procesmatige of technische problemen analyseren en aanpakken
  • Analytisch en besluitvaardig werken gaat hand in hand met aandacht voor kwaliteit, veiligheid en efficiëntie
  • Je bent een coachende leider die mensen weet te motiveren, ondersteunen en ontwikkelen
  • Dankzij je communicatieve vaardigheden werk je vlot samen met verschillende afdelingen en collega's
  • Je kunt werken met Excel en bent bereid om moderne proces- en besturingssystemen te leren gebruiken
  • Je communiceert vlot in zowel Nederlands als Engels
  • Je bent bereid om bewust te kiezen voor een functie binnen een 6-ploegensysteem
  • Duurzaamheid, teamwork en continue verbetering zijn thema's waaraan je graag actief bijdraagt
