Bij een machinebouwer en familiebedrijf in Meerkerk ontwikkel je besturingssoftware voor machines en complete logistieke installaties. Je vertaalt het werkingsprincipe van een machine naar software voor PLC- en servobesturingen en denkt mee over de samenhang tussen mechanica, elektrotechniek en software. Met Siemens S7 en TIA Portal werk je aan besturingen die je vervolgens test, documenteert en bij klanten in bedrijf stelt. Zo ben je betrokken bij zowel de ontwikkeling als de praktische werking van de installatie. In je dagelijkse werk stem je af met mechanische en elektrische engineers, controleer je machinefuncties en zoek je uit waarom een beweging of processtap anders verloopt dan bedoeld. Ook ondersteun je de service- en buitendienst bij besturingstechnische vragen. Je krijgt ruimte om je kennis verder te verdiepen via cursussen en opleidingen, bijvoorbeeld rond PLC-programmering, aandrijftechniek en het inregelen van machines.
