The posting

VTI Aalst wil verder inzetten op kwaliteitsvol, toekomstgericht en betekenisvol STEM-onderwijs. Om de samenwerking tussen algemene, technische en praktische vakken te versterken en STEM schoolbreed verder te concretiseren, zijn we op zoek naar een STEM-coördinator. De STEM-coördinator ondersteunt de school bij het realiseren van haar pedagogisch project en schoolwerkplan en vormt een verbindende schakel tussen leerkrachten AV, TV en PV, de technisch adviseurs en het directieteam.De STEM-coördinator werkt vanuit een gedragen STEM-visie en vertaalt deze samen met collega's naar concrete leeractiviteiten, projecten en onderwijspraktijken.

De opdracht omvat volgende domeinen:

  • STEM-visie en beleidswerking
  • Samenwerking en coördinatie
  • STEM-projecten en krachtige leeromgevingen
  • Innovatie en digitalisering
  • Ondersteuning en professionalisering
  • Externe samenwerking

De STEM-coördinator werkt schoolbreed en in nauwe samenwerking met: • het directieteam;

• de technisch directeur (wordt aangestuurd door de technisch directeur en rapporteert aan

de technisch directeur;

• vakgroepen AV, TV en PV;

• de STEM-teams;

• externe bedrijven, hogescholen en STEM-partners.

We zoeken een collega die:

  • minimaal beschikt over een bachelordiploma;
  • relevante ervaring heeft binnen het STEM-onderwijs;
  • een duidelijke affiniteit heeft met STEM, techniek, technologie en onderwijsinnovatie;
  • een pioniersrol opneemt om engineeringstrajecten te lanceren;
  • pedagogisch-didactisch sterk is en onderwijs vanuit een vakoverschrijdend perspectief kan benaderen;
  • de kwaliteit van het proces bewaakt (PDCA) conform het kwaliteitsbeleid van het directieteam;
  • mensen kan verbinden en collega's kan enthousiasmeren om samen aan projecten te werken;
  • organisatorisch sterk is en projecten planmatig kan voorbereiden, opvolgen en evalueren;
  • initiatief neemt en verantwoordelijkheid durft opnemen;
  • constructief kan samenwerken met leerkrachten, technisch adviseurs en directie;
  • communicatief sterk is en vlot informatie en expertise kan delen;
  • oog heeft voor haalbaarheid en erin slaagt visie te vertalen naar concrete klas- en praktijkwerking;
  • openstaat voor innovatie en nieuwe technologieën;
  • ondernemingsgericht werkt en initiatief neemt om samen met de STEM-teams nieuwe ideeën en projecten structureel te vertalen tot op de klasvloer;
  • bereid is zich verder te professionaliseren binnen STEM en relevante technologische ontwikkelingen;
  • beleidsmatig kan denken zonder de verbinding met de dagelijkse schoolpraktijk te verliezen.
