The posting

Our client is an international player and global leader in the retail sector with a strong branding and unique company culture. They are currently expanding and reorganizing their finance team to adapt their strategy to the current market.

Jobomschrijving

As a Tax Specialist your function will be twofold. On one side reporting to the accounting manager for the Belgian HQ as well as to the CFO of the e-commerce marketplace.

Belgian HQ:

  • Manage monthly VAT filings (BE, FR & LUX)
  • Intrastat and statistical declarations (BE, FR & LUX)
  • Managing intercompany netting processes and related tax implications.
  • Ensuring compliance with indirect tax, customs, and cross-border transaction requirement
  • Ensure accurate corporate tax provisions (ISOC)
  • Oversee quarterly VAT calculations
  • Management Report (PM)
  • Corporate tax calculation, transfer pricing and client listings
  • Support Pillar 2 compliance

E-commerce Marketplace:

  • Support tax projects and implement tax controls.
  • Ensure compliance with DAC7, Deemed Supplier, and C2C requirements.
  • Review and validate invoice flows.
  • Support profit split analyses and related tax matters.
  • Act as the main tax contact for the marketplace business.
  • Coordinate with local tax specialists on international projects.
  • Identify tax risks and support process improvements.

The ideal candidate matches the following criteria:

  • Master's degree in Finance or Law, specialized in Tax / Fiscal sciences
  • Fluent in English and good command of French or Dutch
  • Strong expertise in corporate tax and indirect tax (VAT)
  • Hands-on with proven ability to execute operational tax tasks
  • Critical mindset, ability to analyse future impact of regulations on the business
  • Experience in international and cross-border tax environments
  • Ability to manage multiple compliance cycles (monthly, quarterly, annual)
  • Strong communication skills for stakeholder and cross-country coordination
