Verleg grenzen op onze afdelingen neurologie, neurochirurgie en de stroke-unit

Momenteel zijn we op zoek naar verpleegkundigen met interesse in neurologie en neurochirurgie voor tewerkstelling binnen onze expertisecluster neurologie. Je werkt binnen de expertisecluster op een vaste afdeling, maar bent flexibel inzetbaar over de 3 afdelingen heen.

Hospitalisatie 28 (neurochirurgie, neurologie en oftalmologie) richt zich op de behandelbare aandoeningen van het zenuwstelsel, de schedel en de wervelkolom. De zorg omvat diagnose en behandeling van aandoeningen van hersenen en ruggenmerg, zenuwen en spieren. Bijkomend komen ook de oftalmologische patiënten op deze afdeling ter observatie voor glaucoom, ruthenium en ulcus behandeling.

Hospitalisatie 26 verzorgt patiënten na een beroerte (stroke-unit). Op deze afdeling bevinden zich ook enkele bedden epilepsiemonitoring.

Binnen deze cluster afdelingen zijn er vacatures op volgende afdelingen:

  • Hospitalisatie 28: Neurologie en neurochirurgie
  • Mobiele equipe zone inwendige

Je werkt in een variabel shiftensysteem van vroege (7u - 15u21) en late (13u54 - 22u) shiften, en 1 op 2 weekends.

Hoe verleg je grenzen?

  • Samen met je team sta je in voor de totaalzorg van de patiënten. Je bent verantwoordelijk voor de dagelijkse organisatie en verpleegkundige zorg. Als neuroverpleegkundige krijg je te maken met een mix van sensomotorische, cognitieve en emotionele stoornissen bij de aanwezige patiënten. Cognitieve en neuropsychologische stoornissen in het bijzonder leiden tot complexe zorgsituaties waarvoor specifieke expertise nodig is.
  • Je functioneert als belangrijke schakel binnen een multidisciplinair team van artsen, verpleegkundigen, zorgkundigen, logistiek medewerkers en paramedici.
  • Je begeleidt nieuwe medewerkers en studenten en geeft zo kennis en deskundigheid door.
  • Je draagt kwaliteitszorg hoog in het vaandel en wil een bijdrage leveren om deze verder uit te bouwen.
  • Je wil voortdurend bijleren en houdt je eigen kennis en deskundigheid up-to-date. Je neemt actief deel aan opleiding en bijscholing.

Wat heb je daarvoor nodig?

  • Je bent bachelor verpleegkundige, gegradueerde HBO5 verpleegkundige, basisverpleegkundige of je behaalt binnenkort je diploma.
  • Een patiëntgerichte aanpak en oog voor kwaliteitszorg.
  • Goede probleemoplossende en organisatorische skills.
  • Zin voor initiatief en teamwork.
  • Een integere, discrete en leergierige houding.
  • Je hebt een blanco uittreksel uit het strafregister (model 596-2).
