The posting

De dienst Maag-, Darm- en Leverziekten (MDL) staat in voor de diagnostiek, behandeling en opvolging van patiënten met aandoeningen van het maag-darmkanaal, de lever, galwegen en pancreas. Zowel patiënten met acute als chronische aandoeningen krijgen er zorg afgestemd op hun individuele noden.

Binnen de polikliniek werken elf artsen en vier verpleegkundigen nauw samen om kwaliteitsvolle en patiëntgerichte zorg te bieden. Naast raadplegingen en hospitalisaties omvat de werking ook gespecialiseerde onderzoeken en behandelingen, waaronder endoscopie.

Je werkt nauw samen met de MDL-artsen dr. Gallant, dr. Thorrez, dr. Vanexem en dr. Vlaemynck. Voor een beperkt aantal onderzoeken werk je daarnaast samen met de oncologen dr. Debaere, dr. Deldycke en dr. Geldhof en de geriaters dr. De Mont, dr. Hanssens, dr. Pecceu en dr. Werbrouck.

Functie-inhoud: Als verpleegkundige van deze polikliniek plan, coördineer en realiseer je medisch-technische onderzoeken en behandelingen in samenwerking met de betrokken artsen.

Jouw takenpakket omvat:

  • Bijstaan van de MDL-artsen bij de diagnostische en therapeutische technische onderzoeken, zoals oesofagogastroduodeno-, ileocolo-, sigmoïdo- en anusscopie, ERCP en echografie.
  • Positioneren van patiënten voor echografie bij de MDL- en andere artsen binnen de groep Inwendige Ziekten (geriatrie, oncologie) en bijstand bij puncties (pleura, ascites, gerichte biopsies), al dan niet echogeleid.
  • Onthalen, begeleiden, geruststellen en informeren van de patiënten en eventueel familie of begeleiders over het verloop van de medisch-technische onderzoeken.
  • Uitvoeren van logistieke taken, zoals het reinigen en desinfecteren van het materiaal na elk onderzoek.

Functieprofiel:

  • Je bent bachelor of gegradueerde ((basis en HBO5) in de Verpleegkunde.
  • Je vindt het een uitdaging om je grondige kennis van medische materialen en instrumenten, het verloop van interventies en veiligheidsprocedures verder op te bouwen of beschikt hierover dankzij eerdere werkervaring.
  • Je bent bereid om administratieve taken op te nemen.
  • Je bent open, respectvol en integer en klantvriendelijkheid zit in je DNA.
  • Je hebt een grondige kennis van het Nederlands en kan je er, mondeling en schriftelijk, vlot in uitdrukken.
  • Je kan je, zeker mondeling, vlot in het Frans uitdrukken.
  • Je fungeert als voorbeeld voor kwaliteitsgerichtheid en professionaliteit.
