ZOL is een supra regionaal topklinisch ziekenhuis dat zowel basiszorg als complexe zorg aanbiedt in Genk, Lanaken en Maaseik.

Om ons team te versterken zijn we op zoek naar een verpleegkundige psycho-geriatrie voor onze site in Lanaken.

Als verpleegkundige in de psycho-geriatrie speel je een cruciale rol in het ondersteunen van onze oudere patiënten op hun reis naar herstel en het behoud van hun kwaliteit van leven.

Je toont vastberadenheid en empathie terwijl je hen begeleidt doorheen complexe psychische aandoeningen die vaak samengaan met het verouderingsproces.

Veelal betreft het patiënten die te maken hebben met (beginnende) symptomen van dementie, maar ook mensen die lijden aan depressie, angst en/of andere psychische uitdagingen.

Je krijgt de kans om je passie voor zorg te kanaliseren naar een impactvolle en bevredigende carrière, waar elke dag een nieuwe kans biedt om het verschil te maken in het leven van onze oudere patiënten.

Jij als verpleegkundige psycho-geriatrie

  • Je staat in voor de optimale opvolging van jouw patiënten van opname tot ontslag volgens de visie van de afdeling.
  • Je bent in staat om de specifieke behoeften van deze oudere patiëntenpopulatie te herkennen en kan hierop reageren met passende zorg en ondersteuning, terwijl je tegelijkertijd de autonomie van de patiënt respecteert, stimuleert en hen in de leiding van hun eigen zorgproces laat.
  • Je hebt de vaardigheid om adequaat te reageren op emotionele uitingen van zorgvragers, gelinkt aan hun psychische, cognitieve, sociale en functionele kwetsbaarheid.
  • Dankzij je empathisch vermogen zorg je ook voor een goede emotionele ondersteuning van de patiënt én zijn/haar omgeving.
  • Je waakt erover dat patiënten op een correcte en warme manier begeleid en geïnformeerd worden.
  • Je bent verantwoordelijk voor een correcte administratie en je draagt bij aan de kwaliteit en de continuïteit van de zorgverlening.

  • Je bent basis-, hbo- of bachelor verpleegkundige, of behaalt dit binnenkort.
  • Je bent leergierig en bent bereid bij te scholen volgens de meest innovatieve leervormen aangeboden in het ZOL.
  • Werken in een omgeving met complexe patiëntenzorg schrikt je niet af.
  • Teamspirit is voor jou key.
  • Je draagt patiëntveiligheid hoog in het vaandel en handelt integer ten opzichte van alle partijen.
