Key Responsibilities:

Lot & Queue Management

  • Maintain organized vehicle queues across WIP and finished goods stages.
  • Optimize lot space utilization to support throughput and operational efficiency.
  • Track unit status and location accurately to ensure proper inventory flow.

Vehicle Quality & Inventory Control

  • Keep inventory at sellable quality standards through regular inspections.
  • Maintain vehicle charge levels per established SOPs.
  • Identify units needing reconditioning or escalation and communicate accordingly.
  • Maintain key organization systems to ensure accurate key-to-unit accountability at all times.
  • Conduct regular lot audits to verify unit count, placement, and condition accuracy.
  • Ensure lot is organized and vehicles are staged in designated areas per operational standards.
  • Reconcile physical inventory against system records and escalate discrepancies promptly.

Vehicle Appearance & Readiness

  • Wash, clean, and maintain the appearance of vehicles to ensure they meet company presentation standards.
  • Prepare vehicles for customer deliveries, test drives, and onsite inventory.
  • Conduct routine vehicle cleanings and touch-ups to ensure vehicles are consistently clean, presentable, and delivery-ready.
  • Maintain a high standard of vehicle cleanliness while supporting daily operational and delivery needs.

Shipping & Logistics Coordination

  • Manage inbound and outbound unit flow with carrier and shipping partners
  • Execute vehicle ingress and egress, verify condition, document accurately, and resolve discrepancies
  • Driving vehicles between lots, showrooms, third party servicers, and chargers
  • Ensure handoffs meet compliance and quality standards at every touchpoint

Qualifications & Fit

  • Experience in vehicle logistics, fleet operations, auto reconditioning, or a related field
  • Familiarity with EV charging infrastructure and vehicle readiness standards (preferred)
  • Comfortable with lot operations software, inventory tools, or mobile-based tracking systems
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions and perform physical tasks as needed
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify condition issues, documentation gaps, and inventory discrepancies
  • Physical and spatial awareness to safely handle vehicles and manage lot space effectively in a fast-moving environment
  • Ability to maintain accuracy and quality standards in a dynamic, high-volume environment
  • Clear, timely communication with the ability to surface issues early and keep relevant stakeholders informed

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform physical work in a vehicle-service environment, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and working in and around vehicles for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely enter, exit, and operate vehicles, including driving vehicles as needed in connection with reconditioning, testing, movement, and delivery.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds; ability to move heavier items with appropriate equipment or assistance

Compensation & Benefits

  • Compensation: $21-25 per hour
  • Employment Type: Full-Time
  • Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage; 401(k); PTO and sick time.

Location

  • San Diego, CA — On-Site Required. No remote or hybrid arrangements. Availability required during high-volume periods, weekend hours, and month-end close.
