The posting
Turn your scientific expertise into commercial impact
Are you a scientist with a couple of years of experience in the lab, and a growing pull toward the commercial side of science? Do you want to use your analytical background as a springboard - building relationships, driving customer outcomes, and eventually growing into a broader commercial career - rather than staying in the lab? If you're energized by science but you can already picture yourself on the customer-facing side of it, this role is built for that transition.
What we do
Evosep aims to improve quality of life and patient care by radically innovating protein based clinical diagnostics. Making sample preparation and separation before MS analysis 10 times faster and 100 times more robust will enable truly large cohort studies for biomarker validation and provide the foundation for precision medicine.
Why this role is a great place to start your commercial career
Most people don't start their career knowing they want to end up in commercial roles - they discover it. If you've enjoyed the moments in your scientific work where you got to explain your results, train a colleague, or convince a skeptical reviewer, there's a good chance you'd enjoy this even more.
As a Customer Success Manager, your science degree isn't something you leave behind - it's your credibility with every customer you work with. You'll use it every day to understand their workflows, speak their language, and be trusted as someone who genuinely gets the science. On top of that, you'll build a second skillset most scientists never get the chance to develop: reading account health, spotting growth opportunities, structuring commercial conversations, and working hand-in-hand with Sales, Marketing, and Application Specialists.
It's a role at the intersection of two worlds - and a natural stepping stone if you're aiming toward Account Management, Sales, Marketing, or broader commercial leadership down the line. You won't be doing this alone: you'll be mentored by experienced colleagues in Sales and Applications, and supported by a team that wants to see you grow into the commercial side of the business.
Key tasks and responsibilities
Build and grow customer relationships
- Own the day-to-day relationship with a portfolio of accounts across Academia, Pharma, Biotech, and Clinical
- Learn to run structured account check-ins - understanding how customers are using their instruments, what's going well, and where they need more support
- Start spotting expansion opportunities (new applications, additional capacity) and hand them off to Sales - with mentoring, you'll grow into owning more of that commercial read yourself
- Track adoption and usage trends, and translate what you see into a clear read on account health
Keep customers running smoothly
- Be the customer's go-to contact for contract renewals, service timing, and logistics questions
- Coordinate with our Service and Application teams to keep installs, maintenance, and calibrations on track
- Help new customers get set up for success from day one
Represent Evosep and capture customer feedback
- Attend conferences, user meetings, and customer workshops - representing Evosep and building your own network in the field
- Capture customer feedback and feed it back to Product and Marketing - your scientific background will help you translate what customers really mean
- Help build a pipeline of reference customers and advocates within your accounts
Qualifications
- A degree in Analytical Science, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field
- Around 2–3 years of experience, e.g. from a lab, research, or an early technical/commercial role - hands-on proteomics and LC-MS experience is a big plus, but not a hard requirement
- A genuine curiosity about the commercial side of science, and the drive to build a career there - not just to support it
- Strong communication skills - comfortable explaining technical topics clearly to different audiences
- A proactive, relationship-driven mindset; you follow through and you don't wait to be asked twice
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
- Based in Denmark, with willingness to travel across Europe and occasionally further; happy working from home and from our HQ in Odense
- Valid Class B driver's license
