Setup & Production: Set up, prove out, and debug new or high-complexity CNC programs (G-code, NX, Mastercam, Fusion 360, or SolidCAM) before handing off to operators. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical machining issues, machine alarms, tooling wear, and dimensional non-conformances directly on the shop floor.

Engineering Collaboration

Design for Manufacturability (DFM): Partner closely with Engineering to review drawings, models, and prototypes, providing practical feedback on manufacturability and tolerances. CAM/G-Code Interface: Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers to refine tool paths, program logic, and post-processors to eliminate bottlenecks. First Article Inspection (FAI): Work with Quality Assurance and Engineering to inspect First Article parts and validate new tooling/fixtures.

Team Coaching & Shop Floor Standards

Mentorship & Training: Train, mentor, and up-skill junior and mid-level CNC operators in proper setups, blueprint reading, GD&T, and precision measurement tools. Quality & Continuous Improvement: Enforce quality standards, 5S practices, and Lean manufacturing methodologies to minimize scrap and rework. Blueprint Reading & GD&T: Proficiency in interpreting complex engineering blueprints and applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Precision Measurement: Extensive experience using high-precision measurement tools, including micrometers, bore gauges, and height gauges, and interpreting CMM outputs. Machining & Work-holding: Hands-on expertise with multi-axis milling and turning machines, tooling selection, and custom work-holding/fixturing. Engineering & Software Literacy: Familiarity with CAD/CAM software such as NX, Master-cam, Solid Works, or Fusion 360, and experience working directly with engineering 3D models. Communication & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, machinists, and upper management.

Nice-to-Haves

Experience with 5-axis machining or live-tooling lathes. Background in aerospace, medical device, automotive, or high-precision job-shop manufacturing. Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Six Sigma practices. Associate degree or vocational certification in Precision Machining/Manufacturing Technology. Experience working with large castings.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
