Job Purpose

Lead the operation and maintenance of the Power SCADA system, ensuring the reliable operation of the power distribution network through effective monitoring, control, and maintenance of SCADA infrastructure. The role is responsible for providing technical leadership, supervising maintenance teams, and ensuring high system availability, reliability, and compliance with safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of the Power SCADA system supporting the power distribution network.
  • Administer and maintain Siemens Spectrum Power 5 (Spectrum 5) SCADA applications for real-time monitoring and control.
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain AK Series RTUs and associated field equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain SCADA communication networks to ensure secure and reliable data transmission.
  • Supervise preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance activities for SCADA assets.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities through Maximo CMMS, ensuring timely completion of work orders.
  • Perform fault diagnosis, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve system reliability.
  • Support system upgrades, software patches, backups, testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations, cybersecurity standards, and operational procedures.
  • Lead and mentor technicians while coordinating with operations and engineering teams.

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Automation Engineering.
  • SCADA/Automation Systems Certification is preferred.
  • Valid UAE Driving License is desirable.

Experience

  • 5–7 years of experience in SCADA and Industrial Automation systems.
  • Mandatory hands-on experience with Siemens Spectrum Power 5 (Spectrum 5) for power distribution network applications.
  • Mandatory experience with AK Series RTUs and industrial communication networks.
  • Experience in power utilities, substations, airports, or critical infrastructure is preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Siemens Spectrum Power 5 (Spectrum 5) configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
  • AK Series RTUs configuration, diagnostics, and maintenance.
  • Power distribution systems, Medium Voltage (MV) switchgear, protection relays, and energy metering.
  • Industrial communication protocols and SCADA networking.
  • SCADA HMI, historian, alarms, reporting, and system integration.
  • Testing, commissioning, calibration, and preventive maintenance.
  • Maximo CMMS for maintenance planning and asset management.
  • Fault diagnosis, root cause analysis, and system optimization.
