Job Description

If you're an experienced Bid Manager looking for the next step in your career, we'd love to hear from you.

At Farrans, we know that great bids are driven by great people. That's why we've built a dedicated Pre-Contract team where Bid Managers are trusted, supported and empowered to make a real difference. Whether you're looking to broaden your experience, work on larger and more complex opportunities, or further develop your career, you'll find plenty of opportunities to grow here.

As a Bid Manager, you'll take ownership of the bid process from start to finish, working alongside estimators, bid writers and technical specialists to create compelling submissions that showcase the very best of Farrans. You'll play a key role in shaping bid strategy, bringing teams together and helping secure projects that have a lasting impact on communities and infrastructure.

You'll join a collaborative and experienced Civil Engineering Pre-Contract team, delivering bids across a diverse range of sectors. With project values typically ranging from £10 million to over £50 million, you'll have the opportunity to work on significant, high-profile opportunities that will challenge and develop you professionally.

Ready to take the next step in your bid management career? Apply now and join Farrans.

  • Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures and governance requirements.

  • A relevant degree qualification, or demonstrable equivalent industry experience.
  • Proven experience managing complex bids within the construction, civil engineering, infrastructure or related sectors.
  • Knowledge of bidding best practice techniques, eg Shipley, APMP

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
