• Lead and manage direct labour, subcontractors and plant resources to achieve programme milestones.

• Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with project Health & Safety requirements.

• Conduct daily briefings, toolbox talks and site inductions.

• Monitor productivity and progress against programme targets, escalating delays or issues as required.

• Interpret drawings, specifications and work instructions, ensuring clear communication to site teams.

• Coordinate deliveries, materials, plant and equipment to maintain efficient site operations.

• Ensure works are completed to the required quality standards and in line with approved documentation.

• Support the implementation of method statements, risk assessments and permit-to-work systems.

• Maintain accurate site records, including labour allocation, daily diaries and progress updates.

• Assist with inspections, audits and quality assurance processes.

• Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained across all work areas.

• Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, environmental personnel and HSE teams to support project objectives.

• Participate in project meetings and contribute to resolving technical and operational challenges.

• Promote a positive safety culture and lead by example at all times.

Experience

• Previous experience in a Foreperson, General Foreperson or Site Supervisor role on major construction or infrastructure projects.

• Experience working on energy, utility, renewable energy, industrial or large-scale civil engineering projects is highly desirable.

• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple teams and subcontractors.

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and work plans.

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

• Proven ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to site management.

• Experience working within multinational project teams would be advantageous.

Qualifications

• Relevant construction or civil engineering qualification desirable.

• Valid First Aid at Work certification.

• IOSH Managing Safely, SMSTS or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.

• Knowledge of temporary works, excavation safety and permit-to-work systems.

• Experience managing lifting operations and working alongside crane activities.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
