The posting

Associate, Design

Overview of the Firm

FGS Global helps the world's most influential leaders move minds and markets. Working where business, government, and public opinion intersect, we advise CEOs, boards, and leadership teams at the most consequential moments.

We work as one team across geographies and disciplines - bringing together specialists with backgrounds in communications, finance, law, government, journalism, data science, and digital. Whatever the moment demands, we combine multidimensional perspectives to help leaders anticipate what's next, engage the stakeholders who matter, and drive meaningful outcomes.

Across 31 global offices, we draw on the full depth of the firm so clients can operate with clarity, act with confidence, and lead with trust. This collaborative approach has established FGS as a market leader: we are consistently ranked Band 1 for Crisis & Risk Management and Litigation Support by Chambers and Partners, and were ranked the #1 Global M&A PR firm by deal value and deal count for four consecutive years (Mergermarket, 2025).

The Role

Our Creative & Design team turns complex strategy into work that clients remember — decks, brand identities, motion content, and digital campaigns for some of the region's most consequential companies and leaders. We're looking for a Associate, Design to join our Hong Kong team, working closely with our Associate Director, Design, Asia to bring that work to life.

This is a hands-on role for someone 1-2 years into their design career who wants to build real range: one week you might be refining a board presentation for a listed company, the next you're developing brand assets or cutting a motion graphic for a client campaign.

Responsibilities

  • Design and produce high-quality PowerPoint presentations and pitch decks for client and internal use, translating strategic narratives into clear, polished visuals.
  • Support brand identity projects, including logo development, visual guidelines, and brand asset creation for clients across sectors.
  • Create motion graphics and animated content for digital campaigns, social media, and presentations.
  • Work across the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, InDesign) to produce a range of creative deliverables.
  • Partner daily with the Design Associate Director to interpret briefs, iterate on concepts, and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Collaborate with consultants across the Hong Kong office and broader Asia team to understand client objectives and translate them into design solutions.
  • Maintain brand consistency and design standards across all deliverables.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Desired Skills & Qualities

  • 1-2 years of professional design experience, in-house, at an agency, or in a consultancy environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint for presentation design, with an eye for layout, hierarchy, and storytelling through visuals.
  • Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, with a particular focus on Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere.
  • Quick adoption of proprietary company platforms, including internal E-mail HTML and AI-driven tools.
  • Prior experience in UI/UX design or collaborating closely with developers/programmers is considered a plus.
  • Some experience with or strong interest in motion graphics and brand identity work.
  • Familiarity with both macOS and Windows platforms
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to take direction while also bringing your own creative point of view.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Cantonese is preferred; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
