Tax Associate

Duties and Responsibilities

SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

PERCENTAGE OF WORKING TIME

DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTIONS

1. Tax Computations and Payments, Filing of Ecozone reportorial requirements

Prepare withholding and income tax schedules to ensure accurate reporting

Compute DST obligations

Prepare VAT schedules, SAWT

Prepare reconciliation schedules in case of BIR assessments (LOA)

Ecozone- Filing of ACMS

Ecozone – Filing of EZMPR

Ecozone – Filing of ATIR/ABR thru FIRMS

Any other new required filing as promulgated by the IPA

2. Timely Filing of Taxes

File monthly and quarterly withholding tax returns in compliance with deadlines

Submit quarterly and annual income tax returns

Ensure accurate and timely filing of VAT and DST returns

File payment forms, as needed

3. BIR Report Submissions

Prepare and submit quarterly alphalists and summary list reports

Provide lessee information statements as required by regulations

File annual inventory lists to maintain compliance

Submit other files, as necessary

4. Coordination with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)

Coordinate with BIR for various transactions such as assessments, application and renewal of the computerized accounting system, implementation of new tax laws, and other regulatory

matters.

5. File Maintenance and Other Tasks

Maintain an organized record-keeping system for all tax documents

Monitor and update acknowledged letters, forms, and other official records

Perform additional tasks to support tax and accounting operations
