Job description

Finance in Motion is a leading impact asset manager, structuring, managing, and advising on nearly €4 billion in assets across 10 funds—all classified as SFDR Article 9. Founded in Germany, we bring over two decades of experience investing in emerging markets. With deep local expertise from Latin America to Eastern Europe, we focus on advancing green and social impact. Our investments, through private and public debt, as well as private equity are firmly aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Our mission is clear: to invest where it matters most. Now, we’re looking for someone who shares our passion and purpose.

Join our international HR team and help shape the employee experience across the globe. We are looking for a passionate and versatile Human Resources Generalist to join our dynamic and international HR team. In this role, you will contribute to the full employee lifecycle while supporting colleagues across multiple countries and cultures.

Beyond the day-to-day HR operations, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of specific HR initiatives and projects, helping us continuously improve how we support our people and organization. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys combining operational excellence with project ownership and process improvement in a purpose-driven international environment.

You will work closely with colleagues across the organization, gain international HR experience, and have the opportunity to drive selected HR initiatives in your own area of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll & Benefits Administration: Manage payroll coordination and benefits administration for our headquarters and international offices. You will work closely with external providers and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate payroll processing, compliance with local regulations, and an excellent employee experience.
  • Employee Lifecycle Management: Support colleagues throughout their employee journey—from recruitment and onboarding to offboarding. Prepare employment contracts and HR documentation, ensure compliance with applicable labor laws, and contribute to a seamless employee experience.
  • Employee Relations & HR Advisory: Act as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers on HR-related matters, policies, benefits, and processes. Help foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging work environment.
  • HR Data, Systems & Reporting: Maintain and improve the quality of employee data within our HR systems. Generate HR reports and workforce insights, support audits, and contribute to data-driven decision-making.
  • Vendor & Budget Administration: Coordinate HR-related vendors and service providers, process invoices, and collaborate closely with Finance to ensure timely and accurate administration.
  • Process Improvement & Digitalization: Support the continuous optimization and digitalization of HR processes. Bring new ideas and help us further enhance efficiency, service quality, and employee experience.
  • Ownership of HR Initiatives: Depending on your interests and experience, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of dedicated HR topics and projects. These may include areas such as employee wellbeing, engagement initiatives, HR communications, process innovation, or other global HR programs.

What we expect:

  • University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Several years of relevant HR experience, ideally within an international organization
  • Solid understanding of German payroll-related processes and HR regulations
  • Hands-on experience working with HR systems and digital tools
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Excellent communication skills in both German and English
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong service orientation
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Structured, analytical and detail-oriented working style
  • A proactive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for improving the employee experience

What you can expect:

  • A truly international workplace with colleagues from more than 70 nationalities
  • Meaningful work in a purpose-driven organization committed to creating sustainable impact
  • The opportunity to gain HR experience across multiple countries and business functions
  • Ownership of projects and initiatives alongside your operational responsibilities
  • A culture that values initiative, continuous learning, and personal growth
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • An agile environment where your ideas and contributions can make a visible difference from day one

Diversity & Inclusion At Finance in Motion, we believe that diverse perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds make us stronger. We are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to contribute. We welcome applications from all qualified candidates regardless of nationality, ethnic and social origin, religion or belief, disability, age, gender identity, or sexual orientation. Even if you do not meet every requirement listed above, we encourage you to apply if you believe your experience and potential make you a strong fit for the role.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
