Voor een internationale producent van bouwmaterialen zoeken we een Senior Accountant / Legal Entity Controller die de Europese accountingorganisatie versterkt. Je ondersteunt de boekhouding van toegewezen entiteiten en werkt nauw samen met een externe Shared Services-organisatie aan correcte financiële processen.

Binnen het Europese Accounting & Internal Controls-team combineer je afsluitingen en rapportering met fiscale ondersteuning, treasury accounting en interne controles. Je rapporteert aan de verantwoordelijke voor Accounting & Internal Controls binnen de betrokken productieregio en draagt actief bij aan procesverbeteringen.

Je verantwoordelijkheden:

  • Ondersteunen van financiële afsluitingen en bewaken van de volledigheid van balans en resultatenrekening.
  • Verzorgen van correcte journaalposten en kwartaalrapportering volgens US GAAP en lokale boekhoudnormen.
  • Nakijken van maandelijkse proef- en saldibalansen en rapportering over verkoop-, algemene en administratiekosten.
  • Onderzoeken en toelichten van financiële afwijkingen.
  • Coördineren van intercompany-afstemmingen en verrekeningen met Shared Services.
  • Voorbereiden of ondersteunen van btw-, vennootschapsbelasting- en Intrastat-aangiften en andere wettelijke rapporteringen.
  • Meewerken aan statutaire jaarrekeningen, audits en fiscale rapporteringspakketten.
  • Ondersteunen van Tax en Legal bij externe rapportering en fiscale controles.
  • Afstemmen en uitklaren van treasury-tussenrekeningen en bewaken van controles op interne bankrekeningen.
  • Uitvoeren en beoordelen van rekeningafstemmingen en ondersteunen van Europese balansreviews.
  • Bewaken van effectieve interne controles en SOX-compliance.
  • Samenwerken met onder meer FP&A, HR, Tax, Treasury en externe auditors voor vlotte afsluitings- en auditprocessen.
  • Bijdragen aan projecten die de Europese financiële processen eenvoudiger en efficiënter maken.
  • Een diploma hoger onderwijs in Accounting of Finance.
  • Drie tot vijf jaar relevante accountingervaring.
  • Ervaring met rapporteringsvereisten volgens US GAAP en Belgian GAAP.
  • Vloeiende kennis van het Nederlands, Frans en Engels.
  • Een sterke beheersing van Excel en andere gangbare Office-toepassingen.
  • Kennis van SOX-vereisten, treasury accounting en SAP is een pluspunt.
  • Een bijkomende Europese taal, zoals Duits of Italiaans, vormt een extra troef.
  • Sterke boekhoudkundige en analytische vaardigheden, gecombineerd met inzicht in procescontroles.
  • Een gestructureerde aanpak en het vermogen om meerdere prioriteiten en deadlines te beheren.
  • Zelfstandigheid, initiatief en een praktische blik op verbeteringen.
  • Heldere communicatie en het vermogen om complexe onderwerpen begrijpelijk toe te lichten.
  • Teamgeest, interculturele sensitiviteit en vlot kunnen samenwerken binnen een matrixorganisatie.
