Job Title

Release Train Engineer – Cloud Product Team

About your role

As a Release Train Engineer for the Cloud Product Team, you will coordinate Agile delivery across cloud, cybersecurity, and platform engineering teams. You will facilitate planning and execution, manage cross-team dependencies, improve delivery visibility, and help teams deliver secure, reliable cloud capabilities that support enterprise modernization.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and facilitate Program Increment planning, Agile Release Train syncs, system demonstrations, and inspect-and-adapt events.
  • Coordinate planning and execution across cloud, cybersecurity, platform engineering, product management, and other technical teams.
  • Manage the flow of work through the Agile Release Train using Jira Align, Azure DevOps, or comparable Agile delivery tools.
  • Identify and coordinate cross-team dependencies, risks, impediments, and delivery commitments.
  • Partner with Product Management and technical leaders to align priorities, roadmaps, capacity, and delivery plans.
  • Coach Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and delivery teams on Lean-Agile practices and SAFe principles.
  • Promote continuous improvement by evaluating delivery results, facilitating retrospectives, and supporting measurable improvement actions.
  • Maintain visibility into shared backlogs, milestones, risks, dependencies, and delivery status.
  • Define, monitor, and communicate Agile Release Train metrics, including predictability, flow, quality, and delivery outcomes.
  • Facilitate communication among distributed teams and technical and business stakeholders.
  • Escalate and support the resolution of delivery risks and issues that affect multiple teams.
  • Support governance, compliance, and audit-readiness activities through consistent planning, documentation, and delivery practices.
  • Contribute to Agile maturity assessments and recommend practical improvements to team and program delivery processes.
  • Provide guidance to team members and share Agile delivery knowledge without direct people-management responsibility.

Experience you’ll need to have

  • 4+ years of experience in Agile delivery, technology program delivery, project management, product delivery, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience serving as a Release Train Engineer, Agile Program Manager, Senior Scrum Master, or in a comparable role coordinating multiple Agile teams.
  • Experience facilitating Program Increment planning and other large-scale Agile planning and delivery events.
  • Experience managing dependencies, risks, impediments, and delivery commitments across multiple technical teams.
  • Experience using Jira Align, Azure DevOps, Jira, or comparable Agile planning and delivery tools.
  • Working knowledge of Lean-Agile practices and the Scaled Agile Framework.
  • Experience developing and communicating delivery metrics, program status, risks, and recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience working with cloud, platform engineering, cybersecurity, DevSecOps, infrastructure, or software delivery teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate complex discussions, resolve conflicts, influence without direct authority, and drive decisions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, related experience, and/or military experience.

Experience that would be great to have

  • SAFe Release Train Engineer certification.
  • SAFe Agilist, Certified Scrum Professional, Project Management Professional, or comparable certification.
  • Experience supporting cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services.
  • Experience with DevSecOps practices, infrastructure automation, or cloud-native platforms.
  • Experience working in financial services, payments, fintech, or another regulated industry.
  • Experience supporting geographically distributed or global delivery teams.
  • Knowledge of compliance, risk-management, and audit-readiness practices within a technology environment.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.
