Job Title

Senior Product Manager, GEO Card Present / In-Person Payments

About your role:

You will lead global Card Present and in-person payment capabilities that support merchant payment experiences across terminals, payment applications, gateways and omnichannel commerce. You will work with engineering, architecture, operations, implementation, certification, sales and regional product teams to translate market needs into production-ready solutions. Your work will help expand payment products across countries and regions while improving merchant and consumer payment experiences.

What you'll do:

  • Own Card Present and in-person payment initiatives from discovery, requirements and prioritization through development, testing, launch, adoption and product evolution.
  • Translate customer, market and regional payment needs into product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, customer journeys and solution requirements.
  • Partner with engineering and architecture teams throughout the delivery lifecycle to clarify requirements, resolve issues, manage tradeoffs and remove delivery blockers.
  • Drive product delivery across payment terminals, terminal applications, gateways, acquiring platforms, payment platforms and omnichannel commerce experiences.
  • Support geographic expansion by defining regional payment requirements, local payment capabilities, certification needs and market-specific product requirements.
  • Manage dependencies across platforms, teams, partners, vendors and geographies to support deployable, supportable and scalable product launches.
  • Use customer feedback, production insights, market trends and business priorities to prioritize backlog items, release plans and ongoing product improvements.
  • Responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be modified as necessary.

Experience you'll need to have:

  • 8+ years of experience in product management within payments, fintech, merchant acquiring, commerce or related financial technology.
  • 6+ years of experience with Card Present or in-person payment solutions, including payment terminals, point-of-sale (POS) device ecosystems, terminal applications or payment platform integrations.
  • 6+ years of experience defining product requirements for payment transaction lifecycles, including authorization, clearing, settlement, refunds, reversals and exception scenarios.
  • 6+ years of experience working with payment gateways, processors, acquirers, payment platforms or omnichannel payment experiences.
  • 4+ years of experience participating in Agile product delivery, including backlog ownership, prioritization, user stories, acceptance criteria, sprint planning, demos, testing and release readiness.
  • 4+ years of experience launching or expanding payment products across multiple countries, regions, platforms or partner ecosystems.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience.

Experience that would be great to have:

  • Experience with Europay, Mastercard and Visa (EMV) Level 2 or Level 3 certification.
  • Experience with Alternative Payment Methods (APMs), Local Payment Methods (LPMs), QR-based payments, digital wallets or debit routing.
  • Experience with terminal management systems, terminal security, encryption, tokenization or key-management concepts.
  • Experience with Representational State Transfer (REST) application programming interfaces (APIs), payment orchestration, merchant onboarding or configuration workflows.

How you'll work:

  • This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
  • This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment.

Travel:

  • This role requires occasional travel (up to 10%).

Sponsorship:

  • You must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization to be considered for this role. Individuals with temporary visas including, but not limited to, F-1 (OPT, CPT, STEM), H-1B, H-2, or TN, or any candidate requiring sponsorship, now or in the future, will not be considered for this role.

Benefits at Fiserv:

  • Paid holidays and generous time away policies.
  • No-cost mental health support through Employee Assistance Programs.
  • Living Proof program to recognize your peers’ extra effort with points redeemable for rewards.
  • Eight Employee Resource Groups to foster a collaborative culture and expand your network.
  • Unparalleled professional growth with training, development, and internal mobility opportunities.
  • Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance options available from day one.
  • Retirement planning including 401k match and discounted shares with the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
  • Tuition assistance and reimbursement program.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
