The posting

Role Description:

The Procurement Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in Colombo, responsible for managing end-to-end purchasing activities that support Damn Fine Coffee's operations. This role includes sourcing and evaluating suppliers, preparing and processing purchase orders, and monitoring inventory levels to ensure timely availability of coffee, equipment, and related supplies. The Procurement Executive will maintain accurate procurement records, track deliveries, and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal stakeholders. They will collaborate with operations, finance, and warehouse teams to optimize costs, uphold quality standards, and maintain strong supplier relationships. The role also requires regular analysis of purchasing data to support decision-making and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

  • Strong purchasing processes knowledge, including purchase orders and purchase management.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills to review costs, supplier performance, and inventory data.
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in procurement, supply chain, or operations in FMCG, retail, or hospitality is an advantage.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and basic ERP or inventory management systems.
  • Ability to work on-site in Colombo, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail, strong negotiation skills, and a commitment to ethical sourcing practices.
  • Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
