What you'll do
- Execute daily maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance programs and urgent breakdown repairs, to minimize downtime.
- Lead root cause analysis efforts to identify and eliminate recurring equipment failures.
- Build and develop a skilled, motivated maintenance team through effective leadership and communication across shifts.
- Coordinate maintenance priorities with production teams to ensure smooth plant operations.
- Track and report on maintenance compliance and equipment reliability metrics to drive continuous improvement.
Performance You will own the reliability of critical equipment, directly influencing key performance indicators such as maintenance downtime percentage, preventive maintenance compliance, schedule adherence, and mean time between failures. Your data-driven approach will deliver measurable improvements in plant throughput and operational efficiency, contributing to Flora Food Group’s goal of making better food, one step ahead.
Care This role reports to the Maintenance Manager and leads a team of nine associates on the B shift. You will collaborate closely with production teams and other shifts to foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous learning. Your leadership will ensure sustainable maintenance practices that protect equipment longevity and support the wellbeing of your team and the communities we serve.

About you You have experience leading maintenance teams in manufacturing environments, with strong skills in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, including familiarity with PLCs such as Allen Bradley or Siemens. You demonstrate a track record of improving equipment reliability through root cause analysis and proactive maintenance. Your leadership style builds trust and motivates teams to deliver under pressure. You communicate clearly across shifts and departments, prioritizing results and continuous improvement.
You are genuinely interested in food culture and curious about how consumer behaviour and future food trends shape innovation. You understand that strong brands are built by anticipating what’s next in taste, nutrition and functionality, and by translating insight into meaningful consumer experiences.
