Job Title Production Supervisor – Night Shift

The Practical Detail Location: On-site Working Model: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 2-2-3 rotating schedule

Why this role matters In your first year, you will lead the night shift to improve safety incident reporting, quality checkpoint adherence, and production schedule attainment. This role is vital to Flora Food Group because the quality and safety of our food start on the manufacturing floor, shift by shift. You will be the key figure ensuring that every case leaving the plant meets our high standards and that the team operates smoothly and safely. Your leadership directly impacts the food that reaches consumers’ kitchens, supporting our mission to deliver better food every day.

What you'll do

  • Lead daily night shift floor operations, ensuring safety, quality, and production targets are consistently met.
  • Champion a proactive safety culture by identifying near misses, ensuring incidents are reported, and driving timely resolution.
  • Coach and develop 20 to 30 hourly associates on quality checkpoints and safe operating practices to build a capable, confident team.
  • Remove operational roadblocks for your team, acting as the primary escalation point and advocate for hourly associates.
  • Deliver accurate shift notes, staffing updates, and production attainment data to plant leadership to support informed decision-making.

Performance You will own the shift’s safety, quality, and production outcomes, driving measurable improvements in incident reporting, quality adherence, and throughput. Your clear and timely reporting will provide leadership with the data needed to make faster, better decisions. By removing obstacles and coaching your team, you will increase operational consistency and production output.

Care You lead with empathy, coaching your team with respect and clarity through every shift. Reporting to James Riley-Mercado, you will collaborate closely with quality, safety, and maintenance teams to resolve issues before they escalate. Your decisions will reflect a long-term commitment to the well-being of your team and the consumers who rely on our products.

Passion You understand that food manufacturing is where consumer trust is earned. Your role shapes the quality and safety of food that families enjoy every day. You bring a genuine passion for food production and a commitment to raising the bar in safety, quality, and operational excellence. About you You bring hands-on experience in food manufacturing and have led large hourly teams through demanding shifts with calm authority. You are humble, eager to learn, and empathetic, building trust with your team and communicating clearly with leadership. You know that great food is made by people on the floor, and you are dedicated to removing every obstacle that stands in their way.

You are genuinely interested in food culture and curious about how consumer behaviour and future food trends shape innovation. You understand that strong brands are built by anticipating what’s next in taste, nutrition and functionality, and by translating insight into meaningful consumer experiences.
