Fluxys is an international energy infrastructure group with 1,300 employees active in gas transmission & storage and liquefied natural gas terminalling.

As a purpose-led company, we’re committed to fast-track the shift to a carbon neutral world. We explore new technologies and invest in infrastructure to accommodate hydrogen, biomethane, CO2 and other molecules for a climate neutral future.

The Grid department is responsible for managing the transmission network of Fluxys Belgium. Its objectives are to ensure the gas supply to end users at all times and to guarantee the safety of the installations, the environment and our employees. This includes the inspection, operation and maintenance of the pipeline network and related installations, such as valve stations and pressure reduction stations. Organisationally, the Grid department is divided geographically into 5 zones, supported by a central entity providing technical and administrative assistance.

For our operations site in Grâce-Hollogne, we are looking for an: Electromechanical Technician (m/f/x).

Job purpose

After in-depth training on the installations and activities of the zone, you join a team of electromechanical technicians responsible for the upkeep, troubleshooting and maintenance of the network installations: pressure reduction stations, valve stations and related equipment.

You contribute directly to the safety, availability and performance of the gas infrastructure operated by Fluxys Belgium.

Your responsibilities

  • You carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on the electrical and mechanical equipment of our installations (pressure reduction stations, valve stations, control and metering systems) and write the necessary reports
  • You diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical and instrumentation faults
  • You record the operating and maintenance data of the various installations
  • You ensure the safety of our installations and our employees, in line with procedures and the rules applicable to explosive atmosphere zones (ATEX)
  • You coordinate work with third parties and carry out the necessary follow-up
  • You contribute to continuous improvement in maintenance as well as in processes and quality standards.

About you

  • You hold an A2 diploma in electromechanics or equivalent
  • You have initial experience in the electromechanical maintenance of technical installations (electrical, mechanical, instrumentation)
  • You are dynamic and eager to learn
  • You are autonomous and disciplined, with a technical mindset
  • You have good interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills
  • You are fluent in French and have a sufficient knowledge of Dutch and English

In addition, this role requires:

  • Willingness to take part in an on-call and standby rota
  • Living within 30 minutes of our Grâce-Hollogne site
  • A category B driving licence. A category C licence is required and will be funded by Fluxys.
