Job Description

We’re looking for a Financial Control Accountant, FP&A Lead to join our FP&A team within the North America business. The primary purpose of this role is to lead forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis activity, with ownership of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, forecast models, management reporting and the communication of financial conclusions to senior stakeholders.

You’ll report into the FP&A Manager and work closely with the Head of Finance - North America Markets and senior stakeholders across the business. Responsible for coordinating planning inputs, setting timetables, reviewing outputs, challenging assumptions and providing clear conclusions on performance, risks and opportunities. The role also supports relevant month-end activity and works closely with Finance Control, while retaining FP&A leadership as its principal focus.

The responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, setting timetables, coordinating inputs across the business and taking ownership of delivery to agreed deadlines.
  • Own and maintain Excel forecast models, ensuring assumptions, methodologies and data inputs from multiple sources are robust, consistent and appropriately documented.
  • Review budget and forecast submissions, challenge assumptions and outputs, and resolve gaps or inconsistencies with relevant stakeholders.
  • Analyse monthly ledger data and performance against budget and forecast to identify underlying drivers, trends, variances, risks and opportunities.
  • Produce clear, accurate and timely management reporting, translating financial analysis into conclusions and recommended actions for senior stakeholders.
  • Coordinate North America regional inputs for ExCo and stakeholder presentations, ensuring outputs are complete, consistent and supported by appropriate analysis.
  • Act as the primary FP&A point of contact for budget, forecast and performance queries from the wider business.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across the Markets business, providing constructive challenge and communicating the financial implications of business decisions.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis to support decision-making and respond to emerging business priorities.
  • Support relevant month-end tasks, investigate variances and work with the Finance Control Team to ensure actuals are understood and reflected appropriately in planning and reporting.

What are we ideally looking for in a successful candidate:

  • CA/CFA qualified or equivalent (preferred), with established experience in financial planning and analysis, management reporting or a closely related finance discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience leading annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles, including setting timetables, coordinating contributors, reviewing submissions and delivering consolidated outputs.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, SUMIFS, charts and pivot tables, with proven experience building, maintaining and reviewing forecast models.
  • Strong analytical capability, with a track record of interpreting ledger and operational data, explaining variances and identifying material risks and opportunities.
  • Experience producing management reporting and presenting clear financial conclusions, implications and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills, with the confidence to challenge assumptions constructively and build effective relationships across all levels.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, growth-orientated environment and managing competing priorities to agreed deadlines.
  • Commercial mindset, sound judgement and a proactive approach to resolving issues and improving planning and reporting processes.
  • Background in public practice or corporate.
  • Ability to work effectively with stakeholders across multiple regions, including North America and global teams.
  • Ability to operate autonomously, coordinate cross-functional inputs and make logical, evidence-based decisions.

What is in it for you?

  • Be part of a highly successful, rapidly growing global business that is leading the delivery of financial services and partners with some of the world’s largest companies.
  • Remuneration and career advancement is based on individual contribution and business impact rather than tenure or seniority.
  • We provide significant financial rewards for high performing individuals.
  • Global career opportunities for our best employees at any of our offices in the US, Canada, UK, Czech Republic, Australia, New Zealand, or China.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
