  • Champion Safety: Drive daily safety improvements and act as a leading advocate for a safety-focused culture.
  • Incident Resolution: Participate actively in manufacturing incident investigations and subsequent resolutions.
  • Risk Mitigation: Review, evaluate, and address ergonomic and safety risks for all plant activities and engineering projects.
  • Hazard Response: Immediately address and escalate potential safety issues with appropriate personnel.

Process Optimization & Technical Ownership:

  • Process Ownership: Serve as the technical process owner for core manufacturing operations, including polyurethane (PUR) processing, foam operations, roll forming, steel stamping, machining, and assembly.
  • Standardization: Develop, maintain, and improve standardized work instructions and process documentation.
  • Problem Solving: Identify, investigate, and resolve process, quality, and equipment issues using structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze production data to identify trends, monitor performance, and recommend process enhancements.
  • New Product Support: Lead process validations, manufacturing trials, and support new product launches to ensure operational readiness.

Continuous Improvement & Capital Projects:

  • CI Initiative Leadership: Facilitate Lean manufacturing initiatives, including Kaizen events, 5S, Visual Management, Standard Work, and waste elimination.
  • Project Management: Manage capital improvement projects from initial concept through implementation, including equipment selection, justification, installation, and validation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to bridge gaps between current practices and standardized work.
  • Training & Mentorship: Assist in the development, training, and facilitation of new processes and best practices for production associates.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Education: 4-year degree in Engineering (Required).
  • Experience: 5+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (Preferred).
  • Industry Context: Prior experience in steel stamping, steel processing, or heavy manufacturing (Preferred).

Technical & Certification Preferences:

  • Lean & Six Sigma: Lean Manufacturing experience along with a Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
