Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Quality Specialist to lead and conduct Internal Quality Audits (IQA), ensuring compliance with organisational policies, quality standards, governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing audit programmes, evaluating internal controls, maintaining Quality Management System (QMS) documentation, and driving continuous improvement across IT projects and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and execute the annual Internal Quality Audit programme.
  • Plan and conduct end-to-end internal audits across IT projects, operations, and support functions.
  • Assess compliance with QMS requirements, organisational policies, governance controls, regulatory requirements, and applicable industry standards.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, operational processes, and risk management practices.
  • Gather and analyse audit evidence through interviews, documentation reviews, process walkthroughs, and sampling.
  • Prepare audit reports, present findings, and recommend corrective actions and process improvements.
  • Monitor corrective and preventive actions, ensuring timely and effective closure of audit findings.
  • Maintain audit documentation, evidence, schedules, records, and performance metrics.
  • Support external audits, ISO certification activities, compliance reviews, and audit-readiness initiatives.
  • Provide guidance to process owners on audit requirements, compliance obligations, and quality management practices.
  • Maintain and control QMS procedures, standards, policies, and supporting documentation.
  • Identify recurring non-conformities, process gaps, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Support quality-awareness initiatives and promote adherence to established processes and standards.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Internal Quality Audit, Quality Management, Compliance, IT Governance, or Process Assurance.
  • Proven experience independently planning, conducting, and managing Internal Quality Audits.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, audit methodologies, QMS frameworks, and risk-based auditing principles.
  • Hands-on experience maintaining QMS documentation, procedures, and compliance records.
  • Experience supporting ISO certification audits, external audits, and regulatory compliance reviews.
  • Good understanding of IT governance, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), change management, IT service management, and operational controls.
  • Strong analytical, investigative, problem-solving, and audit report-writing skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise professional judgement, and manage multiple audit activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
  • ISO 9001 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor certification is preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as CISA, CQA, ITIL, Six Sigma, or equivalent are advantageous.
  • Experience working in government, public-sector, or regulated IT environments is preferred.

  • Experience auditing Agile, DevOps, cloud-native applications, or cloud product development environments.
  • Familiarity with AWS services, cloud governance, and secure cloud operations.
  • Experience conducting quality assurance, compliance assessments, or process audits for cloud products and digital services.
