The posting

Role Summary

Seeking a Technical Business Analyst (TBA) to translate business needs into actionable solution specifications across banking platforms (e.g., payments, cards, core banking). The role spans requirements, solution design support, data & interface specifications, testing coordination, delivery governance, and post‑go‑live stabilization—working closely with FBAs, Solution Architects, Development, and TCoE/Testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Elicit, analyze, and translate business requirements into detailed functional specs (BRD/FRD), user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Conduct fit‑gap and impact analysis across upstream/downstream systems; map dependencies and non‑functional requirements.
  • Lead walkthroughs of solution designs with FBAs, architects, testing teams (TCoE), and business users.
  • Produce/validate API contracts (Swagger/OpenAPI), interface specs, sequence diagrams, data mappings (JSON/XML/CSV), error codes, and reconciliation rules.
  • Review and validate technical design specifications; ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and design standards.
  • Contribute to high‑level test strategies; ensure SIT/UAT/regression/performance test coverage for critical functions.
  • Guide testers/users on system configurations (e.g., parameter setup), end‑to‑end reconciliation, and scenario coverage.
  • Drive defect triage with Dev & Test; ensure timely resolution and clear RCA.
  • Support cutover planning, rollback strategies, post‑implementation support, and early‑life stabilization.
  • Lead TBA/SA activities before build; support multiple projects where feasible.
  • Document and escalate risks/issues; maintain RAID and ensure mitigation plans.
  • Prepare and deliver clear documentation and presentations for non‑technical and senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams, architects, FBAs, and senior stakeholders to ensure traceability from requirements to release.
  • JIRA/Confluence, Visio/Draw.io (BPMN/UML), Swagger/Postman, ALM/Xray/Zephyr.
  • Understanding of enterprise SDLC, CAB/change controls, and test management practices.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 6–10 years as a Systems Analyst / Business Analyst / Technical BA in banking/financial services.
  • Strong experience writing FRDs/BRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and conducting fit‑gap & impact analysis.
  • Hands‑on with API/integration specifications (REST, events, batch), data mapping, and SQL for analysis.
  • Proven collaboration across Architecture, Development, Testing (TCoE), and Business.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.

Preferred Banking/Payments Experience

  • Cards & Payments domain: product lifecycle, card management, online/batch interfaces, reconciliation, GL mapping.
  • Rewards/loyalty: design and operations (earn/burn, adjustments, provisioning); experience with rewards platforms (e.g., One EmpowER) is a plus.
  • Exposure to cards platforms (e.g., VisionPLUS, Cardlink) and card payment networks; recent (last 2 years) hands‑on cards involvement preferred.
  • Familiarity with PCI‑DSS controls, exception handling, and end‑to‑end STP patterns in payments.

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • CBAP, Agile (CSM/PSPO/SAFe), ITIL, PCI‑DSS awareness.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
