Job description

Billy the Badger is a key component of Fulham Football Club’s identity and is involved across various Club events. As Billy the Badger, you will interact with the Club’s fan base across matchdays (FFC & FFCW), Foundation events, School visits and other adhoc activities. Fulham Football Club is looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and charismatic individual to bring Billy the Badger to life and help create unforgettable experiences for supporters of all ages.

As Billy the Badger, you will be a key part of the matchday experience at Craven Cottage, entertaining fans, interacting with supporters and representing the Club at matches, community activities, promotional events and other appearances.

This is a highly visible role that requires someone who can communicate through personality, movement and humour while maintaining the character of Billy the Badger at all times. The following is a non-exhaustive list of the responsibilities of the role:

  • Bring Billy the Badger to life through energetic, engaging and entertaining performances
  • Interact with supporters of all ages in a friendly, positive and approachable manner
  • Create memorable experiences for children, families and Fulham supporters
  • Attend home matchdays at Craven Cottage, including pre-match, half-time and post-match activities
  • Participate in photographs, videos, social media content and promotional campaigns
  • Support fan engagement activities, community events, club initiatives and special appearances
  • Work alongside the marketing, partnerships, women’s and Fulham FC Foundation teams
  • Respond creatively to the atmosphere and events of the matchday while staying true to Billy's character
  • Follow agreed performance, safety and operational guidelines
  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while representing Fulham FC
  • Be prepared to perform for extended periods and work in a physically demanding costume
