About the role

As a Senior Control System Specialist, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and commissioning of Plant Control System (PCS) projects for the cement industry. You will lead technical activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring high-quality, on-time delivery while collaborating with customers, project teams, and global stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities :

  • Lead the design, development, configuration, testing, and commissioning of Plant Control System (PCS) solutions for cement industry projects.
  • Manage and execute all phases of the project lifecycle, from engineering and development through testing, commissioning, and handover.
  • Develop and review control system architecture, functional design specifications, control narratives, I/O lists, and engineering documentation.
  • Configure and program PLC, DCS, HMI, and SCADA systems in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Perform hardware engineering activities, including I/O assignment, network design, panel integration, and system validation.
  • Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and commissioning activities to ensure system performance, reliability, and compliance.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, customers, consultants, and site personnel to ensure successful project execution.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the required quality and safety standards.
  • Provide technical support during installation, startup, commissioning, and system handover at customer sites globally.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of engineering standards, best practices, templates, and design procedures.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to support team capability development.
  • Identify project risks, resolve technical issues proactively, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

You bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5–10 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation, process control, or plant control system engineering.
  • Strong understanding of cement plant processes and industrial automation systems.
  • Proficiency in interpreting Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), control philosophies, and functional specifications.
  • Extensive experience in PLC/DCS engineering, including programming, configuration, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
  • Hands-on experience with automation platforms such as Siemens, Rockwell, ABB, Schneider Electric, or equivalent systems.
  • Experience with SCADA/HMI development, visualization design, alarm management, and operator interface configuration.
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols including Modbus, PROFIBUS, PROFINET, Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, OPC, and related technologies.
  • Experience with Intelligent Motor Control Centers (iMCCs), variable speed drives (VSDs), and field instrumentation integration.
  • Proven experience in FAT, SAT, site commissioning, startup support, and customer acceptance activities.
  • Familiarity with ECS/ControlCenter solutions is an advantage.
  • Strong project planning, problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in multicultural and global project environments.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for project execution, commissioning, and customer support.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
