Job Description Summary

GE Aerospace’s PLM Platform Team runs Teamcenter, the product lifecycle management (PLM) platform that our engineering and supply chain teams use to design, build, and support jet engines for commercial and military customers. In this role, you will join the small, close-knit team that builds, operates, and upgrades the classified Teamcenter environments supporting GE Aerospace’s U.S. defense programs. Working on site in Evendale (Cincinnati), Ohio, inside secure facilities, your work directly supports the engineers building the next generation military engines. This is a hands-on role with broad scope. You will install, configure, administer, upgrade, and support the platform end to end, working alongside architects, developers, cybersecurity, and operations engineers across the wider PLM team. As capacity allows, you will also learn and support GE Aerospace’s global enterprise Teamcenter platform, and you will help the team apply AI and automation to how the platform is built and run. Teamcenter experience is a plus, not a prerequisite: strong enterprise application engineers will learn the platform on the job.

Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Install, configure, administer, and support Teamcenter PLM environments in GE Aerospace’s classified, air-gapped facilities, including the buildout of new environments.
  • Execute platform releases, patches, and upgrades in the classified environments, following established deployment procedures, change management, and release governance.
  • Monitor platform health, performance, and availability; triage production issues (data, configuration, performance, security), identify root cause, and drive corrective actions.
  • Work with the classified-environment System Architect and the wider PLM development, release, and operations teams to bring tested solutions into the classified environments and keep operating practices consistent across environments.
  • Maintain compliance with classified data handling, cybersecurity, and audit requirements in all work, including timely vulnerability remediation and patching.
  • Partner with engineering users to understand their needs, resolve their issues, and recommend improvements.
  • Write and maintain runbooks, technical procedures, and documentation of system changes.
  • Cross-train with teammates so that support of the classified environments never depends on a single person, and take part in the team’s on-call support.
  • Contribute to GE Aerospace’s global enterprise Teamcenter platform (releases, upgrades, operations, and automation) as capacity allows.
  • Learn and apply AI tools and automation to improve how the platform is deployed, tested, operated, and documented.
  • Use GE Aerospace’s FLIGHT DECK lean operating model in daily work: daily management, structured problem solving, and continuous improvement.
  • Share knowledge and help new team members get up to speed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 2 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 5 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 7 years of professional experience
  • Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job.
  • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience administering, configuring, upgrading, or supporting enterprise applications, such as PLM, MES, ERP, or similar systems, in a large organization.
  • Working knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server environments, relational databases (for example Oracle or SQL Server), and SQL.
  • Experience executing application deployments, patches, or upgrades under a change management process.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (Secret or higher). An active clearance is a plus but is not required to apply.
  • Willingness to work on site in Evendale (Cincinnati), Ohio, every workday. The work is performed in secure facilities, so this role is not eligible for remote or hybrid work.

Desired Qualifications:

Candidates are not expected to bring every item below. Aptitude, curiosity, and the drive to learn matter as much as experience.

  • Teamcenter or PLM experience: administration, configuration, deployment, or upgrades of Teamcenter (for example 4-tier architecture, Active Workspace, FMS, Dispatcher, BMIDE) or another PLM platform.
  • Secure environments: experience working in classified, regulated, or air-gapped environments, or holding an active security clearance.
  • Automation: scripting (for example PowerShell, shell, or Python) and interest in CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • AI aptitude: experience using AI tools to improve engineering work, and enthusiasm for learning as the tools evolve.
  • Service management: familiarity with ITIL incident, problem, and change management.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly understand new concepts and analyze system deficiencies.
  • Passionate about security and the quality of the applications they support.
  • Organized, thorough, and detail oriented.
  • Takes ownership: follows work through to completion, raises problems early, and asks for help when needed.
  • Collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources.
  • Eager to learn, shares ideas, encourages and accepts feedback well.
  • Strong analytical skills: strong problem solving skills, communicates in a clear and succinct manner, and effectively evaluates information and data to make decisions; anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve them.
  • Interested in current and emerging technologies.
  • Demonstrated customer focus: evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer and builds strong customer relationships.
  • Experience working with global teams and contracted partners.
  • High level of energy and enthusiasm, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting, and excited to work on site every day as part of a close-knit team.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
