The posting

Redmond, WA · Full-time · Marketing

About the Company

General Robotics is a physical‑AI research and deployment company building the intelligence platform that any robot can connect to. Using the latest breakthrough AI models, we make advanced robot intelligence accessible so organizations can rapidly deploy robots and unlock entirely new capabilities across industies. Join the team pushing the frontier of robotics and turning breakthrough ideas into real‑world impact.

The Role

You’ll own how General Robotics shows up online. Social is where our category gets defined, where investors and enterprise buyers meet us, where researchers decide whether our work is credible, and where the next great engineer decides to apply. You’ll set the strategy and run the channels day to day, writing and creating the content that tells our story.

This hands-on lead role sits within the marketing team where you will collaborate across the company with engineering, research, sales, and our executives; turning what we’re building into posts people stop scrolling for, share, and act on.

What You’ll Own

- Channel strategy and voice. Own X, LinkedIn, and YouTube, and decide where we go next. Build natively for each platform instead of cross-posting. Keep our voice confident, approachable, and honest about where the technology really stands.

- Always-on content engine. Plan and run the calendar around research releases, product milestones, customer deployments, hiring, and events. Create short-form video, carousels, diagrams, benchmark charts, and threads that make complex robotics simple.

- Community and real-time engagement. Be present in the conversation around physical AI and robotics. Engage with researchers, builders, press, and partners. Monitor sentiment, spot opportunities early, and respond fast and well when something breaks.

- Video content creation. Craft compelling demo videos that synthesizes the complex into easy to understand stories. You’ll own production of videos end to end - narrative arc, storyboard, shooting, and editing, starting from a real understanding of what engineering and research have built.

- Founders’ voice. Build the program that helps elevate the voice of our co-founders around key moments, expanding their reach across the influencers community and deepen engagement across our target audiences.

- Social media agency management. Manage our external social and creative agency partners, from briefs and scope to budgets, quality control, and performance reviews, so their work stays on-voice and on-strategy.

- Measurement and growth. Define what good looks like, from reach and engagement to follower quality, share of voice, site traffic, and pipeline influence. Report on it, run experiments, and double down on what works.

What Success Looks Like

- First 30 days: You know our technology, audiences, and story. You’ve audited our channels and are actively posting.

- First 60 days: A documented social strategy, a consistent publishing rhythm, an executive posting program underway, and a reporting dashboard leadership actually uses.

- First 90 days: Measurable growth in audience quality and engagement, at least one moment where social drove the conversation, and a recognizable General Robotics voice in the physical AI community.

How You’ll Work

- Learn directly from research and engineering teams what’s being built and the problem we’re solving, then translate it into clear, compelling stories.

- Stay close to sales and customer conversations, and let what you hear shape what you post next.

- Contribute to the evolution of the brand as the product evolves.

- Operate with high ownership, moving quickly between planning, creating, publishing, and optimizing.

What You’ll Bring

- 3+ years leading social media for a tech brand, with accounts you’ve measurably grown. Show us.

- Deep fluency in X and LinkedIn, including a point of view on what earns attention with technical and enterprise audiences.

- Sharp writing and editorial judgment with the ability to quickly absorb complex engineering concepts and make them accessible without dumbing them down.

- Hands-on creative skills: short-form video editing (Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar) and design in Figma, Canva, or Adobe Creative Cloud.

Who This Is For

You should apply if:

- You’re equal parts strategist and creator, with high taste and the judgment to know what not to post.

- You’re genuinely curious about robotics and AI and comfortable learning directly from engineers.

- You’d rather build the system than repeat the task.

- You move fast and improve as you go.

Why Join Us

- Work at the frontier of physical AI and robotics, and help define the category, not just participate in it.

- Fast-moving, innovative startup environment with the opportunity to shape the ecosystem, not just participate in it.

- High-impact role with executive visibility and room to build and grow the social function.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $120k-$140k. Your actual pay will be based on factors including skills and experience. This role is eligible for bonuses and benefits including medical, 401(k) and other health benefits.

This role is open to candidates currently based in and authorized to work in the US.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
