Buyer PL (Mid-Level Buyer) – Betim, MG | Brazil

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage purchasing demands to ensure zero production downtime.
  • Organize and optimize the supplier portfolio.
  • Request quotations from approved suppliers through SAP Ariba and email.
  • Create and manage Purchase Orders in accordance with company guidelines using SAP Ariba and SAP.
  • Create and manage purchasing contracts and catalogs.
  • Follow up on purchase order deliveries.
  • Act as a key interface and provide support to all company departments, including requestors, management, and other stakeholders.
  • Utilize SAP for procurement processes, tax-related adjustments when required, and inventory inquiries.
  • Develop sourcing strategies focused on savings generation, cost avoidance, and payment term optimization, maximizing supplier performance and corporate value.
  • Conduct supplier negotiations.
  • Collaborate with buyers from other plants and corporate procurement teams.
  • Maintain regular communication and relationship management with suppliers.
  • Prepare and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) in partnership with the Procurement Manager.

Main Responsibilities

  • Analyze and continuously improve procurement processes, ensuring optimal outcomes related to savings, delivery lead times, product quality, and supplier management.
  • Organize purchasing activities to ensure timely execution and the best business results without compromising internal customer needs.
  • Ensure supplier information is accurate, complete, and up to date.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Demonstrate ownership, a continuous improvement mindset, and commitment to professional development.

Required Qualifications

  • Fluent English (mandatory).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Power BI (considered a plus).
  • Intermediate Spanish.
  • Experience with SAP and SAP Ariba.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree completed in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
