The posting

company

Givzey | Version2.ai is a fully remote, AI-native company that created the Autonomous Fundraising category in 2024, when it researched, developed, and deployed the world’s first Autonomous AI to address the labor shortage and capacity gap in nonprofit fundraising. Fundraising teams have a finite capacity to reach donors with one-to-one communication, on average leaving 97% of donors to their organization receiving only marketing communications. A labor shortage compounds the problem: even when organizations want to hire more fundraisers, they often can't find them. The result is a significant capacity gap, where teams can't reach large pools of high-potential donors, resulting in important organizations with world-changing missions being unable to fully execute on their visions.

Version2.ai's Virtual Engagement Officers (VEOs) close the labor shortage gap with each VEO independently managing a portfolio of up to 1,000 donors, delivering personalized outreach through text, email, video, and robotically handwritten notes year-round. VEOs don't just make staff more efficient; they manage donor portfolios independently, freeing human fundraisers to focus their time on the highest-value relationships while also closing transformational revenue for these organizations.

VEOs have already generated over $20M in fundraising revenue to date, including individual gifts as large as $100,000, at an opt-out rate of just 0.07%. Organizations deploying a VEO see 4x annual ROI on average, and the top 20% see 8x or higher. More than 250 VEOs are now deployed across higher education, healthcare, and nonprofit organizations in the U.S. and Canada, including UNICEF USA, Bucknell University, Wake Forest University, and William & Mary.

Adam Martel founded Givzey four years ago and leads the company as CEO. He previously founded, scaled, and sold Gravyty, the first company to develop and sell AI-first solutions to nonprofit organizations.

opportunity for impact

Givzey’s Version2.ai is seeking an Operations Specialist to join its autonomous fundraising operations team. This individual will bring direct fundraising experience either as a frontline fundraiser or in advancement communications. They will know what makes nonprofit donors tick and apply their expert donor-centric communication skills to their work directly overseeing the world’s first AI-powered fully autonomous fundraiser. They will have been a savvy super-user of technology in previous roles and have strong time management skills and the ability to easily pivot from one task to the next independently.

  • Manage the back-end operations of Virtual Engagement Officers (VEOs), including human-in-the-loop review, donor engagement workflows, AI training, and knowledgebase development.
  • Apply fundraising and donor engagement expertise to VEO operations, ensuring donor-facing communications are accurate, appropriate, personalized, and aligned with each organization’s fundraising strategy and voice.
  • Execute internal and external processes that support autonomous fundraising operations, including customer onboarding, asset collection and submission, content development, and ongoing VEO management.
  • Review and manage donor data, organizational information, fundraising content, and other inputs that inform VEO activity.
  • Support the development, launch, and ongoing optimization of Version2 activities and donor engagement campaigns.
  • Work directly with customers to respond to requests, troubleshoot issues, gather information, and ensure successful deployment and ongoing performance of Version2 activities.
  • Identify issues or opportunities and clearly communicate technical requirements to Engineering, using JIRA to document and track work.
  • Develop and maintain clear internal and external documentation, processes, and resources.
  • Work with third-party platforms and tools that support autonomous fundraising operations.
  • Partner with program and product leaders in the company to identify and solve opportunities and challenges across autonomous fundraising.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve processes, donor engagement, customer experience, and the effectiveness of our VEO operations.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

professional qualifications

  • Fundraising or advancement experience is strongly preferred. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in annual giving, back-office fundraising operations, donor relations, stewardship, development operations, or similar advancement functions.
  • Experience working with donor data, fundraising communications, and/or donor-facing content.
  • Strong written communication skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent judgment when reviewing donor-facing communications and other customer-impacting content.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, follow established processes, and identify when something requires additional investigation or escalation.
  • Comfortable working with technology and learning new systems and platforms. You do not need to be a technical expert—we’re looking for someone who understands fundraising and can become highly proficient in the technology that supports it.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Customer-service orientation and the ability to build positive relationships with customers and internal teams.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, highly collaborative remote environment.
  • Availability to work primarily West Coast–friendly hours, (or 11am - 7pm EST) with some Saturday coverage (about 1x month) required.

nice to have

  • Healthcare fundraising experience preferred, including familiarity with grateful patient programs and a working knowledge of HIPAA requirements and their application within fundraising operations.
  • Experience with annual giving, donor stewardship, development operations, prospect management, or other back-office advancement functions.
  • Experience working with fundraising CRMs or donor databases.
  • Experience with customer success, implementation, or support.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as JIRA.
  • Experience working with AI-powered tools or technology platforms.
  • Experience creating or managing donor-facing communications and content.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
