Responsibilities:

  • Become familiar with the firm's policies and procedures;
  • Review business and individual tax returns (Forms 1040, 1065, 1120S) prepared by staff for accuracy and compliance;
  • Prepare more complex business and individual tax returns and address technical issues with efficiency and accuracy;
  • Provide mentorship, training, and guidance to junior staff, ensuring they develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed;
  • Communicate effectively with clients to gather financial information, explain tax regulations, and offer tax planning strategies;
  • Conduct detailed tax research on complex issues, developing solutions and recommendations for clients;
  • Stay current on federal, state, and local tax laws and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and provide proactive advice to clients;
  • Work closely with partners and managers to develop strategies for clients tax planning and compliance; and
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members to gather information and provide updates on return progress.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or any relevant course
  • Preferably a Certified Public Accountant or US CMA
  • Minimum of 4 years of work experience as a US Tax Accountant in a US public accounting firm
  • Experience in preparing business and/or individual tax returns (Forms 990, 1120, 1040, and 1099)
  • Experience in preparing non-profit and trust/estate tax returns (Forms 990 and 1041) is a plus.
  • Preferably with working knowledge in tax software such as Axcess Tax, Document, Engagement, and/or Workflow
  • Proficiency in Excel for managing and analyzing financial data
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in tax filings and documentation
  • Amenable to work in a Hybrid set-up
  • Willing to work the night shift
