The posting

Global Wind Service is looking for a Lean Specialist to help improve planning, productivity and project execution across our global project portfolio. You will combine practical Lean expertise, site observations and performance data to identify better ways of working and help teams apply them across projects.

The role combines regular site visits with office-based and remote work, with approximately 75–100 days of international travel per year. During site visits, you will work directly with technicians, supervisors and project teams to understand operational challenges, learn from effective working methods and test practical improvements. Between visits, you will analyse findings, develop solutions and training materials, coach colleagues and follow up on implementation and results.

Supporting our 1,500 field-based colleagues, your focus will be on improvements that make a practical difference and can be sustained by local teams. Success means better productivity, greater consistency and more reliable delivery, while maintaining safety, quality and compliance with applicable OEM and customer requirements.

You bring practical Lean experience, drive, persistence and a structured approach. You build trust by listening, understanding operational challenges and helping teams find workable solutions. You communicate clearly and engage colleagues through hands-on coaching, presentations, online training and constructive follow-up.

Reporting to the Head of Lean@Site and acting as a key resource for Lean expertise, you will join a dedicated team focused on standardising processes, enhancing productivity, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Locations can be NL, DK & PL.

· You will be the key driver of Lean development in Global Wind Service.

· Identify, quantify and implement productivity improvements across projects and business areas.

· Build strong relationships with project teams and influence stakeholders at all levels to support adoption of new ways of working.

· Develop and coach local Lean Champions and site leaders in practical planning routines, structured problem-solving, standard work and visual management, using both on-site and remote support.

· Identify Lean improvement opportunities across GWS through a structured approach and ensure their implementation.

· Support digitalization on-site initiatives.

· Agree priorities, site activities and follow-up with divisional and project leadership, ensuring clear local ownership and realistic commitments from participating teams.

· Use time between site visits to analyse findings, develop improvement proposals, prepare practical tools and training materials, and coordinate implementation across projects.

· Promote a continuous improvement culture across all GWS sites and teams.

Job requirements:

· 3+ years of experience in project execution, site management, operational excellence or continuous improvement within the wind, construction, energy or related industries.

· Demonstrated hands-on experience applying Lean methods to improve workflow, reduce waste or rework, and deliver measurable results.

· Proven ability to translate operational challenges into practical and sustainable improvements.

· Relevant technical, engineering, construction or project management background.

· Formal Lean qualification is an advantage; equivalent practical experience is equally valued.

· Practical experience with change management, coaching operational teams and securing adoption of new ways of working.

· An analytical, methodical and self-driven approach, with the ability to work independently and follow initiatives through.

· Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.

· Offshore Pre-Installation experience is considered an advantage.

· Fluent in English, both written and spoken

· Ability to travel (75-100 days per year)

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
